A Study On The Furniture Creation Thought Of The Northern Mongols In The Yuan Dynasty

Throughout the development of ancient Chinese furniture,traditional furniture making techniques have a heritage,and furniture from different historical periods reflects the characteristics of technological progress and style innovation.Mongols furniture of Yuan Dynasty,in the context of close integration of multiple cultures,belongs to a branch of the Chinese traditional furniture system.It not only inherits the craftsmanship and style of the previous dynasties,but also presents innovation in style and structural style.However,the relevant historical documents have insufficient records of its creation ideas.This study fully collected images of Yuan Dynasty tomb mural furniture and relevant historical literature materials.Analyze the shape,structure,color,material,function and combination of furniture from the images,and use the method of systematic clustering to classify and calculate the creation dimension,and obtain the classification results of the creation technology dimension,life custom dimension and aesthetic concept dimension.Using the "dual evidence method" of images and texts,interpret the cultural characteristics of furniture creation from the above three dimensions,and explain the fundamental role of creation technology in the process of furniture creation by interpreting the technical and cultural elements reflected by furniture craftsmen,tools,craftsmanship,and materials;By analyzing the relationship between the labor production,clothing,food,housing and transportation habits and the use of furniture in the social life customs of the Mongols in the Yuan Dynasty,the cultural connotation of furniture creation is obtained;Through the analysis of furniture decoration,the ideological content of the aesthetic concept of Mongols furniture in the Yuan Dynasty was obtained.Finally,from the universal law and value orientation reflected in the three dimensions,the author summarizes and concludes the creation thought of the northern Mongols furniture in the Yuan Dynasty,which are respectively the creation technology thought of applying the pattern to the use,the creation culture thought of pluralism and accumulation,and the creation aesthetic thought of Zhongzheng Kuanhe.
