With the continuous development of the rubber industry,the preparation of lowcarbon and environmentally friendly rubber products has gradually become the focus of attention,and wet mixing technology has gradually entered people’s vision.As an important reinforcing agent in rubber,carbon black has improved the performance of rubber to a certain extent,but due to its non polarity and hydrophobicity,it greatly increases the difficulty of using carbon black in the wet mixing process.The traditional dry mixing technology has a cumbersome process,and the filler dust scattered in the air during the experimental process not only pollutes the air,but also endangers the health of production personnel.Therefore,how to improve the dispersion of carbon black in wet mixing and the continuity of the mixing process is the most critical issue in wet mixing technology.In response to the above issues,this article studied the process method of wet continuous mixing of full formula carbon black.The traditional preparation of wet adhesive mainly adds bulk fillers such as carbon black in the wet process,while other small materials in the formula are added in the internal mixer.Full formula wet adhesive adds bulk fillers such as carbon black together with other small materials in the formula in the wet process.Through experimental exploration,compared with traditional mixing processes,wet continuous mixing technology not only reduces tedious processing,but also achieves continuity in the mixing process to a certain extent.At the same time,it improves the dispersion effect of fillers in the rubber matrix and avoids environmental pollution caused by carbon black and other dust.This article proposes for the first time the process method of wet continuous mixer flocculation,which enables flocculation,dehydration,and drying to occur simultaneously.It is then combined with a dual rotor continuous mixer to achieve continuity throughout the entire process and improve production efficiency.The main work done in this article is as follows:1.A wet continuous mixing method of carbon black/natural rubber with full formula was proposed.The mechanisms of full formula wet flocculation,dehydration and drying,and wet continuous mixing were elaborated;The total shear deformation of rubber during continuous mixing was derived,and the factors affecting the maximum shear force were summarized.2.The process method of wet continuous mixer flocculation was proposed for the first time.Carbon black and latex were more fully flocculated,reducing the drying time of subsequent rubber materials.The continuous mixer flocculation process improved the continuity of preparing wet master rubber while ensuring the filler ratio.3.The process technology of mixing with a dual rotor continuous mixer has been developed.which reduces the tedious mixing process,improves the continuity of mixing,and makes the carbon black more evenly dispersed in the rubber matrix.4.Through experiments,(1)the effects of different grinding times of carbon black and other rubber additives in the formulation on the properties of the rubber compound were studied.The experimental results show that the size of carbon black and filler particles have different reinforcing effects on rubber.When carbon black/rubber additive is ground for 3 hours,the prepared rubber material has the best performance,with a tensile strength of 25.40 MPa,a constant elongation ratio of 5.03,and the Payne effect being the best.(2)The effects of temperature control and rotational speed of continuous mixer on rubber properties were studied.By changing the temperature control temperature and rotational speed of the continuous mixer,a full formula wet master batch of carbon black/rubber additive/natural rubber was prepared.The experimental results showed that when the parameters of the continuous mixer were set at 50 ℃ and40 r/min,the comprehensive properties of the rubber compound were relatively good,with tensile strength of 25.83 MPa,elongation at break of 583.25%,and Payne effect being the lowest.(3)The effects of different stirring times in the self flocculation process on the properties of the rubber compound were studied.The experimental results show that the comprehensive performance of the prepared rubber compound is advantageous when the stirring time is 60 seconds,with a tensile strength of 25.12 MPa,an elongation at break of 622.10%,and a tear strength of 110.30 MPa.5.Through experiments,the effects of different wet mixing processes on the performance of rubber materials were studied,and then compared with the rubber materials prepared by traditional dry mixing processes.Through experiments,it was found that the wet continuous mixing process has a certain improvement in the performance of rubber compared to traditional dry mixing process,open mill wet mixing process,and internal mixer wet mixing process.The tensile strength is 25.39 MPa,the elongation at break is 645.32%,and the wear is 0.15 cm~3,The Payne effect is the best.In summary,through the full formula wet continuous mixing process of carbon black,not only can carbon black and other fillers be well dispersed in the rubber matrix,improving the comprehensive performance of the rubber compound,but also can reduce environmental pollution while improving the continuity of the rubber mixing process,which has certain significance for the development of wet mixing in the rubber industry.
