The Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab city cluster is located in the northwest region of China,at the core area of the"Ji"bend of the Yellow River.It is an importantcomponent of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab city cluster,which is a key area for national development.Conducting research on the evolution of land use spatial structure and theconstruction of ecological security pattern in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab city cluster can explore ways to optimize the spatial layout structure of urbanization areas and achieve high-quality development with ecological priority.This is of great theoretical and practical significance for promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature,building an ecological barrier in the north,and promoting high-quality development of the"Ji"bend of the Yellow River.This paper analyzes the quantity change,transformation characteristics,and gravity transfer rules of land use spatial structure in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab city cluster from the perspective of three-dimensional space,and studies the dynamic evolution driving mechanism and evaluates the ecological service function.Using the circuit theory model principle,we identify the ecological corridors,ecological nodes,and barrier areas to construct an ecological security pattern,and propose suggestions for optimizing ecological space and future development direction.The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.The results of the analysis of the evolution of the national land space of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab urban agglomeration show that:during the 20 years from 2000 to 2020,the scale of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab urban agglomeration has been expanding,the urban population and economic carrying capacity has been increasing,and it has become the main engine of economic and social development,ecological civilization construction,reform and innovation and opening to the outside world in the autonomous region,and the urban land area has changed from 0.025 million km~2to 0.19 million km~2.The three major spatial areas of the urban agglomerations have also changed significantly,with the ecological spatial area showing a downward trend from 145,600km~2to 146,500km~2,with the center of gravity located in Baotou City and the center of gravity slowly moving within the three municipalities;the production spatial area showing a fluctuating trend from 40,600km~2to 39,900km~2,with the center of gravity located in Toketo County of Hohhot City and the overall area slowly moving westward;and the living spatial area showing a gradual shift from40,500km~2to 30,900km~2.The area of living space is increasing year by year from 0.025 million km~2to 0.19 million km~2,and the center of gravity is located in Tumertzuo Banner of Hohhot City,with the overall accelerated southeastward deviation and intense movement.2.A total of 15 ecological source sites were identified according to the natural geographic pattern and ecological pattern of the national land space of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab urban agglomeration,combined with the extremely important areas and nature reserves in the evaluation results of ecosystem service functions.Combined with the circuit theory,36 ecological corridors,16 ecological nodes,7873km2ecological pinch points,36 primary barrier points and 37 secondary barrier points are identified.3.According to the"ecological barrier+ecological corridor+ecological zoning",the ecological security pattern of Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab urban agglomeration is"one screen,one corridor and four zones",one screen is the ecological barrier of Yinshan Mountain,one corridor is the ecological corridor along the Yellow River,four zones are One screen is the Yinshan ecological barrier,one corridor is the ecological corridor along the Yellow River,and four areas are the southern foot of the Daqing Mountains soil and water conservation function area,the Yellow River basin ecological reserve,the Yinshan biodiversity reserve,and the grassland wind and sand control function area.At the same time,we propose ecological restoration and protection optimization for three subzones in the sexual ecological security pattern:ecological optimization zone,ecological improvement zone,and ecological obstacle zone.4.According to the conclusion of the study,the optimization direction of the future pattern of Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab urban agglomeration is proposed to be based on the resource and environment carrying capacity and regional advantages of four cities,Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab,to promote the expansion of environmental capacity and ecological space in Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab,the ecological protection red line area to reach 49,400km~2,the basic farmland protection red line to reach20,700km~2,and at the same time,based on the industrial base and cluster advantages,to realize At the same time,based on the industrial base and cluster advantages,to achieve integrated development,urban development boundary control at 0.26 million km~2;strengthen the Yellow River"several"word bay,Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab city group soil space planning to determine the ecological control indicators and layout constraints,to promote the development of modern service economy with emphasis on Hohhot,to build energy and strategic resources base with emphasis on Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab,to Ulaanchab to focus on the construction of logistics links and port hinterland of the core city group construction,the construction of efficient division of labor,staggered development,orderly competition,mutual integration,population and capital concentration of modern industrial spatial pattern;optimize the internal spatial structure of the city group and ecological security pattern,further improve the development system of city groups and towns,to achieve integrated development,the formation of 1 type I large city 2 type large cities,2 type II small The total population will be controlled within 11.5 million.5.Qualitative and quantitative analyses such as GIS spatial analysis method,binary logistic regression model,and circuit theory are used to establish a comprehensive ecological safety resistance surface index system,divide ecological safety importance zones,and identify ecological safety network factors using circuit theory.The study shows that the above methods are feasible to be used in the study of spatial structure evolution and ecological security pattern construction in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Ulanqab city cluster,and they are also valuable for the promotion and application of related studies in similar regions.
