Study On Application Of Three-Dimensional Modelling And Construction Technique Of Pleats

In recent years,with the rapid development of social economy and increasingly rich life,the dressing concept and aesthetic ability are gradually improved,also the requirements for clothing are getting higher and higher.Clothing has become a way for people to show their personality,increase their personal charm,delight themselves and achieve spiritual fulfilment,which demands the fashion designers to improve art culture,to apply art ideas and creative thinking,to create more practical and artistic beauty of clothing by technical skills.Pleats,as the classic element in apparel design and three-dimensional modelling,has smart elegant and free-flowing lines with extremely hierarchical,three-dimensional,volumetric modelling.More and more people are fascinated by the three-dimensional pleats for their unique fashionable feeling and art atmosphere.Compared with the traditional plane cutting in China,the three-dimensional modelling and cutting show great advantages in the three-dimensional perception and dimension sense.Those pleats with volume sense,sculptural sense and strong visual impact looks like the designer’s fingertips,they are the confident results for the body structure,the fabric performance,the three-dimensional construction techniques.Also,they are perfect combination of wisdom design and three-dimensional construction technique worthy of studying and applying them to our practice.The first part of the paper starts from the study of the origin and development of pleats,draws the essence of pleats application in different times,countries and cultures,analyzes the functions and characteristics of pleats,so as to better understand and grasp pleats and obtain inspiration and creative inspiration from them,providing historical nourishment and basic knowledge for the practice of three-dimensional modelling of pleats.The second part of the main paper defines the category of pleats studied in this article,studies the principles and tenets of the formation of three-dimensional pleats,and studies in detail the characteristics and composition techniques of three-dimensional pleats from the aspects of the generation of pleats,the source of pleats,composition methods and essentials,provides a theoretical basis for the practice of the formation of three-dimensional pleats.The third part studies the application of pleated three-dimensional modelling in clothing contours,different parts of the human body,and different fabrics,as well as the overall application of pleated three-dimensional modelling.Provides strong theoretical support for the design and production of pleated clothing.The four part is based on the principles,principles,techniques,and applications of the pleated three-dimensional modelling theory mentioned above to practice and interpret the pleated three-dimensional modelling technology step by step,comparing and analyzing the different types of pleated three-dimensional modelling and construction technique,providing theoretical guidance for expanding the practical research of pleated three-dimensional modelling in the practical application field.
