As the most prominent mountain city contradiction,Chang ’an District in the north foot of Qinling Mountains has a series of land use conflicts. The southern administrative border of this region reaches the watershed of the main Liang of the Qinling Mountains, and the northern part is closely connected with the city of Xi ’an,which is the most important region connecting Xi’an and the mountain cities of the Qinling Mountains.Since the promulgation of the Ecological Environment Protection Plan of the Xi ’an Section of the Great Qinling Mountains, the contradiction between ecological protection, development and utilization of this region has become prominent, and the contradiction between various land use has become increasingly fierce. Therefore,Under the background of the increasing demand for ecological protection,it is the first step for sustainable regional development to find out the typical land use conflicts in Chang ’an District at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains in time. From the perspective of ecological security, this paper analyzed the fundamental causes and main driving forces of land use conflicts, namely the characteristics of land and human needs, and obtained the distribution of potential land use conflicts and typical land use conflict forms in Chang ’an District, the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, and proposed reconciliation strategies for various typical land use conflicts based on stakeholder discussions. This study is divided into 7 chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which clarifies the research background, object, purpose and significance of the paper, combs out the identification methods and progress of land use conflicts at home and abroad, and finally determines the research content and the overall writing framework. The second chapter is the research tools and technical route, analyzes the key scientific issues, takes the man-earth relationship coordination theory as the main basic theory, and combines the technical tools such as participatory mapping and grounded theory to finally put forward the research analysis framework and technical route.Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 identify potential land use conflicts in Chang ’an District at the north foot of the Qinling Mountains from the root cause of land use conflicts, namely the multiple appropriateness and versatility of land itself, and obtain potential land use conflicts in Chang ’an District at the north foot of the Qinling Mountains by constructing the ecological security pattern of Chang’an District at the north foot of the Qinling Mountains combined with the evaluation results of agricultural production suitability and construction land suitability. It also classifies the conflicts and provides reference for the subsequent planning of Chang ’an District at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains. The fifth chapter, starting from the main driving force of land use conflicts, namely the diversity of human needs, conducts a research on the multi-stakeholder needs of Chang’an District at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, obtains the stakeholder composition of the research area through literature research, focus groups and other methods, and makes spatial mapping of the stakeholder needs by means of participatory mapping and semi-structured interview. And identify the differences in needs among stakeholders. The sixth chapter identifies typical land use conflicts in Chang’an District at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains and puts forward suggestions for alleviating conflicts. It superimposes the obtained areas of high potential conflict and high demand, finds the specific points of land use conflicts in the study area, conducts field investigation and summarizes the types and characteristics of land use conflicts in the study area, and holds a stakeholder discussion. The conciliation strategies and spatial optimization techniques of various conflicts are proposed.Chapter seven is the research conclusion. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Identify potential land use conflict areas in Chang ’an District at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains, and provide basis and suggestions for subsequent planning;(2)To find the demand and spatial distribution of each stakeholder in Chang ’an District at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains;(3)Conduct field research on conflict points to summarize the specific manifestations of land use conflicts in Chang ’an District at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains.
