Due to the slow heat transfer, high melting point, and large deformation resistance of titanium metal,it is quite difficult to prepare titanium/aluminum composite plates by rolling method due to the large difference in material properties between titanium and aluminum metal.According to the characteristics of the differences between the two metals, composite can be achieved by applying certain external conditions to reduce the differences in the inherent properties of the material. For example, using induction heating to individually heat the titanium plate can significantly reduce the difference in deformation resistance between the titanium plate and the aluminum plate. The temperature distribution of titanium heated by electromagnetic induction is often uneven, which leads to poor deformation coordination of titanium/aluminum composite, low bonding strength and uneven distribution, poor product quality, and hinders the large-scale production and industrial application of titanium/aluminum composite plates.Aiming at the poor uniformity of titanium/aluminum rolling composite strength, this article uses a new type of coil transverse magnetic induction heating scheme based on temperature uniformity as a starting point to explore an induction heating differential temperature rolling technology that improves the uniformity of composite strength by controlling the temperature uniformity before rolling.Firstly, using finite element simulation software to conduct electrical magnetic thermal coupling finite element modeling of the electromagnetic induction heating process, design two coil heating schemes, and explore the effects of various structural parameters on temperature uniformity. It was found that the coil current deviation during dual coil heating can form a hot zone in the middle of the titanium plate, which can improve the temperature uniformity distribution to a certain extent.Secondly, based on the temperature results of electromagnetic induction heating simulation,a new type of induction heating three coil structure with upper and lower arrangement was designed. The proximity effect was used to control the magnetic field distribution, excite more induced currents in the middle of the titanium plate, form a hot zone, and make the temperature of the titanium plate fluctuate within the range of 50 ℃,thereby achieving control of temperature field uniformity. Finally,a temperature measurement experiment was conducted on the coil to verify the simulation results, and the induction heating parameters and process methods before differential temperature rolling were determined and gradually developed.A preliminary electromagnetic induction heating differential temperature rolling experiment was conducted on titanium/aluminum composite plates, and a titanium/aluminum composite plate with a bonding strength of 63.3MPa was prepared. The microstructure and morphology of the bonding interface were observed and analyzed.
