The Application Of The Artistic Elements Of Puxian Opera In The "FOUNDATION" Series Of Women’s Clothing

"Facial make-ups" are the make-up patterns on the face of an opera actor and a method of makeup,which has both “ the contradictory combination of beauty and ugliness,the picture of hearts with explicit expression of characteristic and the stylized ”aesthetic features.The facial make-ups elements of national major operas are common,while the facial make-ups elements of local operas share the similarities of traditional Chinese culture and possess unique of different regional cultures at the same time.Puxian Opera is one of Fujian’s local operas and is known as the "living fossil" of southern opera of the Song and Yuan dynasties.The artistic elements embodied in the facial make-ups pattern of Puxian Opera and its way of expression and connotations shed light on the innovative application of clothing design.This paper chooses the "Bao Zheng" facial make-up in Puxian Opera as a case study.First of all,the artistic features of Puxian Opera are drawn,and the differences and similarities between it and other operas are compared by analyzing its shape,texture,color and other characteristics.Secondly,on this basis,this paper tries to abstract and redesign the "Bao Zheng" facial make-up in Puxian Opera from "point and line to plane " and tries to combine the artistic elements of opera facial make-ups with the concepts of design in modern women’s clothing into application.In this way,the feasibility of Puxian Opera’s facial make-up’s art elements in the application of "FOUNDATION" series of clothing design is explored,therefore,the patterns of clothing will go through trial adjustmentand process test.
