Innovative Application Of Gable Art Elements In Ancient Houses In Southern Fujian In Women’s Clothing Design

The ancient houses of southern Fujian are the product of the interplay of the natural life and spiritual culture of the people of southern Fujian,and are not only an important carrier of the regional civilisation of southern Fujian,but also a symbol of the culture of a country.As a part of the ancient houses of southern Fujian,the ancient Minnan alleyway wall is characterised by its shape,colour and materials.It is also one of the main components of the intangible cultural heritage-the construction of Minnan houses-and has important research value.This paper combines various research methods to analyse and summarise the feasibility of combining the artistic elements of the ancient alleyway walls with clothing design from multiple dimensions.Firstly,it explores the influence of the artistic elements of the ancient alleyways of southern Fujian on the formation of the wall from three aspects: architectural features,natural factors and cultural origins,and summarises and analyses their modelling contours,patterns and colour features in a general way to provide theoretical support for the subsequent extraction and application of the wall elements.Secondly,we explore the application of the fusion of architecture and clothing from three aspects: pattern,shape and craftsmanship,from which we can summarise the more representative design ideas.The elements of the ancient alleyway walls in southern Fujian are then used as the material for innovative design,and the commonalities between pattern,architecture and clothing are considered in a comprehensive manner to explore the feasibility of their integration.Finally,the design of a series of women’s clothing is inspired by the artistic elements of the ancient alleyway walls in southern Fujian,and is combined with related clothing production techniques.The aim of this paper is to explore the feasibility of transformation between architecture and clothing,to promote the public’s understanding of the traditional architectural structure of the mountain walls of the ancient houses of southern Fujian,to further promote the conservation and heritage of ancient architecture,and to explore innovative expressions of women’s clothing design.
