Inheritance And Innovation Of Yongchun Paper Weaving Painting With Du Pont Paper As The Carrier In Women’s Clothing Design

As a national intangible cultural heritage and one of the four major weaves in China,Fujian Yongchun Paper Weaving Painting has a long history and unique artistic charm.Based on the premise of cultural protection and inheritance,researchers went to the Taoyuan Paper Weaving and Painting Academy and Yongfang Paper Weaving and Painting Society to investigate the developing status.Analysis of the history,patterns,color matching and craft techniques show that paper weaving and painting are facing with a lack of successor.To this end,the following solutions are proposed.Firstly,modern textile new technology is employed to improve traditional processes because materials used before are fragile,difficult to be woven and retained.Secondly,as a new environmentally-friendly material,Du Pont paper is used to enrich the artistic effects.Finally,to expand the application of paper woven painting and increase its artistic form,the unique artistic form of Yongchun paper woven painting is combined with modern women’s clothing design.The above innovation would be conducive to the better inheritance of Yongchun paper weaving and painting.
