Two-dimensional layered-structured metal carbon/nitrides(MXenes for short)have emerged as versatile materials due to their tunable structures,excellent hydrophilicity,and abundant surface chemistry.However,pristine MXenes have disadvantages such as high contact resistance and low flexibility,which hinder their development.Therefore,in order to optimize the performance of MXenes materials,in this paper,after the successful synthesis of Mo2TiC2 MXenes materials,they were modified by different methods to prepare a series of derivatives of Mo2TiC2-based MXenes materials,and their performance in electrocatalytic production was studied.Catalytic activity in hydrogen peroxide and electrolysis of water for hydrogen production.(1)Hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)is one of the most environmentally friendly oxidants on earth and plays a key role in chemical synthesis,environmental remediation,and surfactants.We successfully synthesized a catalyst for electrocatalytic H2O2 production by hydrothermally oxidizing Mo2TiC2 MXene.The introduction of oxygen element induces the generation of more oxygen-containing functional groups in Mo2TiC2 MXene,which can significantly improve the performance of electrocatalytic H2O2 production.The H2O2 selectivity can reach 90%in alkaline solution and 83%in neutral solution.In addition,the catalyst also has strong charge transfer ability and excellent stable working ability.(2)Hydrogen production by electrolysis of water(HER)is a clean and sustainable production method and a promising production strategy to realize hydrogen energy substitution for carbon-based fuels.We successfully synthesized catalysts capable of enhancing HER performance by doping Mo2TiC2 MXene materials with heteroatoms.When the current density is j=10 mA·cm-2,the overpotential is only 79.0 mV.In addition,the catalyst has a small Tafel slope,good reaction kinetics and excellent stability.
