With the development of society and the improvement of education level,the younger generation of parents have been different from the past,more attention to children’s early education,and toys,as a necessary educational medium in the growth process of children,will accompany children throughout childhood,educational toys can enable children to achieve intellectual development in play,promote healthy growth.At the same time to meet the children’s play and parents’ needs for education,through the intervention of toys,stimulate children’s brain activity,develop children’s thinking logic ability,unconscious in the competitive entertainment to improve the level of intelligence.With the improvement of parents’ cultural level,the requirements of children’s toys not only stay on the basic physical function,but also pay further attention to the cultural and educational significance of the product,more need to combine with the user needs of the new era to develop educational functions.In this paper,educational toys as the design object,3-6 years old preschool children as the target users,product semantics theory as the starting point,children’s educational toys design research.Firstly,through the relevant theoretical analysis of product semantics and the sorting of children’s educational toys,the characteristics of toy modeling are summarized.Based on the design basis of product semantics,the necessity of product semantics in children’s educational toys is explored,and the method of semantic transmission in children’s educational toys is explored.Secondly,the semantic difference method is used to analyze core toy samples,reflecting the mapping relationship between semantic vocabulary and the material and form of children’s toys,and summarizing the product semantic transmission through metonymy and metaphor in children’s educational toys.Finally,by investigating the current toy market,subrogation consumers and children’s users,the problems existing in children’s toys and the demand points of toys are summarized,so as to clarify the design direction of children’s educational toys.On this basis,the design path of children’s educational toys is summarized by combining product semantics,and the semantic elements are further summarized and interpreted.By means of abstraction,reconstruction,meaning and other means to encode and decode the semantics of children’s toys,in order to carry out the design practice.In this paper,the theory of product semantics is applied to the design of children’s educational toys,to dig out the new design integration ideas and ways of children’s toys,in line with the educational function of children at the same time to meet the deep spiritual connotation needs of children,to provide a certain reference for the future design of children’s educational toys.
