| Objective:1.It is to understand the asbestos contamination status of the body powder products currently on the market.2.To understand the effects of talc powder,asbestos powder and their mixture on ovarian health of SD female rats.3.To understand people’s usage of body powder,as well as related safety awareness of body powder,so as to promote people’s awareness of the safe use of body powder.Methods:1.Conduct sampling inspection on the body powder sold online in China and offline in Zhongshan City,Guangdong Province,China,and determine the asbestos composition in the powder by X-ray diffraction combined with polarized light microscopy.2.Forty-two female SD rats were randomly distributed into the control group,the talc group,the asbestos group,and the asbestos+talc group.0.2m L of 125mg/m L corresponding powder suspension was injected through the genital tract once a day for 180 days.The indexes of CA125 and HE4 were measured by tail vein blood collection on the 90 and180 days.The ovaries of rats were weighed and the pathological sections were performed to observe the morphological changes of ovaries.3.Through questionnaires to understand people’s use of body powder,as well as related safety awareness of body powder,so as to promote people’s understanding of the safe use of body powder.Results:1.A total of 193 body powder samples were sampled,of which 13samples were detected asbestos.The detection rate of asbestos in online samples was higher than that in offline samples(χ~2=4.045,P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant(χ~2=11.349,P<0.05),and the detection rate of asbestos was the highest in the samples whose price was less than 10 Chinese yuan.2.Compared with the control group,the levels of CA125 and HE4 in each experimental group were increased at the 90th and 180th day of the rat experiment(P<0.05),and the HE4 in the asbestos+talc group was higher than that in the asbestos group and the talc group(P<0.05).At 180days,the levels of CA125 in the control group and each experimental group were higher than those at the 90th day of the experiment(P<0.05),and the levels of HE4 in each experimental group were higher than those at the 90th day of the experiment(P<0.05).On the 180th day of the experiment,morphological changes in ovarian epithelial cells and follicles appeared in the talc group and asbestos group,and multiple atretic follicles appeared.In the asbestos+talc group,atypical hyperplasia of granulosa cells was found in the cortex of the rats,and pathological mitotic images were seen.3.The questionnaire survey collected 602 valid questionnaires.It was found that the usage rate of adult body powder was 74.09%,and the usage rate of children’s body powder was 95.41%.The usage rate of body powder for women was higher than that for men,and the usage rate and frequency of body powder for children were higher than those for adults.,the commonly used parts are the groin,inner thigh and buttocks.The incidence of adverse events after using body powder in children is higher than that in adults(P<0.05).Nearly half of the respondents did not know that the area near the genitals should be avoided and the Use on wet skin.Conclusion:The qualified rate of asbestos in the body powder samples is 93.26%.It is known from animal experiments that the rats with long-term exposure to asbestos powder and suspension will have the most serious ovarian damage.The usage of body powder for children is extremely high,and the commonly applied parts are close to the genitals area.Since many users do not know that they should avoid using body powder near the genitals,long-term wrong usage can easily lead to damage health.The publicity of relevant safety knowledge of body powder should be strengthened. |
