A Study On Legal Issues Of Marine Microbeads Prevention Measures

Since the early 1980 s,plastic has posed a serious threat to Marine life and ecosystems,and the global marine ecological environment has been a concern.Vast sea areas and a wide variety of resources are vital to the sustainable development of mankind.Under the background of the vigorous development of the global economy,the marine ecological environment problem has been paid more and more attention.Microplastics(microplastics),as a new type of plastic pollutant,exist widely in marine environment all over the world.Microplastic pollution has become a hot environmental issue in the international community and a new topic in the field of marine environmental protection.Microplastics can easily be ingested by marine life and eventually enter the human body through the food chain.The reduction,control and prevention of microplastic pollution of the ocean is not only related to the maintenance of marine and coastal environment and ecosystem,but also a multi-dimensional problem involving economy,politics,society,life,human health and other fields.If we do not seriously address the current situation of microplastic pollution in the world’s oceans,and consciously and purposefully plan and control it through legal means,we will lose an opportunity to reverse the severe degradation of our marine environment.At the same time,the establishment of a legal prevention and control system for marine microplastic pollution is of great significance to protect the Marine ecological environment and safeguard the maritime rights and interests of China.The first chapter,"Marine Microplastic Pollution Overview",describes the concept of microplastics,the main sources and types,the general situation of Marine pollution and the harm and impact of microplastics.The second chapter,"The Status Quo of Legal Regulation on the Prevention and Control of Marine Microbeads Pollution",combs the domestic and foreign legal regulations regarding the control of microbeads pollution,analyzes and introduces the legal practice of typical countries,and evaluates and analyzes the effect of legal system on the prevention and control of microbeads pollution.The third chapter,"Problems in the Prevention and Control of Marine Microbeads Pollution under the Current Legal System",pointing out that existing legal regulations cannot greatly improve the current situation of marine microbeads pollution.On the basis of this,the existing legislation scope is too narrow,the legal regulation intensity is insufficient,the legal regulation standard is not unified,and the lack of international cooperation in the prevention and control of marine microbeads pollution is also discussed.The fourth chapter,"Suggestions on Improving the Legal Regulation of Marine Microbeads".According to the problems in the prevention and control of marine microbeads pollution under the current legal system summarized above,suggestions on the construction of an effective legal system for the prevention and control of marine microbeads pollution are put forward.One is to improve the legislation and regulation of microbeads control,in order to reduce the pollution of microbeads at the source;Second,international and regional cooperation should be strengthened to prevent and control marine microbeads pollution.Third,pay attention to the sustainable development of the ocean.Finally,specific legal suggestions and countermeasures are proposed for the prevention and control of marine plastic pollution.
