| Purpose:In this study,we attempt to gather epidemiological data of PCA patients from Jiangsu Province hospital of TCM,including incidence of this disease, gender differences, predisposing factors, affiliated diseases, sleep quality and quality of life, which can provide reliable medical knowledge for clinicians.Besides,we investigate the scientific nature and feasibility of PCM differentiation of TCM by research of the disease’s syndrome. Methods:According to the criteria of our study,a total of 52 PCA patients are collected. These patients are matched 1:2 to carry out our case-control study. The questionnaire is designed by three major researchers to investigate the patients with PCA and general population. All the data collected are input into Excel to build database, and then adopting SPASS 19.0 to carry out statistics analysis. Results:The mean value of three items is P<0.05,including excess sunlight, scratching and allergic to something. The statistic difference was significant. In regard to the comorbidities of PCA,the mean value of three items including eczema, urticaria and allergic rhinitis is P<0.05 with statistically significant difference. The score of the questionnaire of life quality ranges from 0 to 26 point, the average value of which is 5.96.The score of the questionnaire of Pittsburg Sleeping Quality Index(PSQI)ranges from 1 to 13 point and its average value is 5.69.The results of cluster analysis demonstrate:the first pattern of syndrome is stagnation of the liver, the second is damp-heat syndrome and the third is blood deficiency and wind dryness syndrome. Conclusions:Excess sunlight, scratching and allergic to something has significant implications for the pathogenesis of PCA,thus we should usually avoid these risk factors.PCA is usually associated with eczema, urticaria and allergic rhinitis. The disease is discovered to have a mild to moderate impact on the quality of life of the patients.Meanwhile it influences the quality of their sleep.Syndrome type in TCM of PCA includes stagnation of the liver,damp-heat syndrome, blood deficiency and wind dryness syndrome. |
