Effect Of Elastic Orthopedic Bandage On The Recovery Of Walking Function In Hemiplegic Patients

Objective Through the Elastic orthopedic bandage in hemiplegic patients for Gait correction training,observa the effect of recovery of walking function of hemiplegia patients.Methods 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups,the control group and the treatment group.There are 30 cases in each group,2 groups of patients were treated with routine rehabilitation training method.The control group using the Bobath technique and exercise relearning therapy for the routine rehabilitation treatment,twice a day,30 minutes every time,five times a week,and trained 8 weeks.The treatment group using the same training method,and the elastic orthopedic bandage is used for walking function training,30 minutes every time,Continuous training for 8 weeks.Before rehabilitation treatment,after 8 weeks respectively assess the Improved ashworth,the Fugl-Meyer of lower extremity,Berg balance scale and Functional walking ability(FAC).In addition,before rehabilitation treatment,after 8 weeks 10 meters walk speed test was conducted.Results ①Before the rehabilitation treatment,there was no significant difference of score(P>0.05)between these two groups of patients in calf triceps modified Ashworth.After 8 weeks,the modified Ashworth score of two groups of patients,has been reduced significantly(P<0.05).But the treatment group was no significantly better than the control group(P>0.05).② Before the rehabilitation treatment,there was no significant difference of score(P>0.05)between these two groups of patients in FMA-LE、BBS.But after 8 weeks,the score of the two groups of patients in FMA-LE、BBS has been improved significantly(P<0.05),meanwhile the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).③Before the rehabilitation treatment,there was no significant difference(P=0.68,P>0.38)between the 10 m of two groups.after 8 weeks,the 10 m also have been meliorated significantly(P<0.05),meanwhile the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Using common rehabilitative treatment combined to elastic orthopedic Bandage may has following functions.① It can reduce the triceps muscle tension in patients with hemiplegia,but compared with the simple conventional rehabilitation training no obvious advantage.② It can promote recovery of hemiplegia patients’balance ability and improve the motor function of lower limbs.③ It can improve the walking speed of stroke patients with hemiplegia and promote the recovery of walking function.
