| Libanotis buchtormensis(Fisch.)DC.is a species of Genus Libanotis Hill from Umbelliferae family.It is mainly grown in Shanxi,Xinjiang,Gansu,Sichuan and other provinces.The plant is a folk medicine that is very popular in Shanxi.The root is its medicinal part and known as Changchunqi,is one of the seven drugs of Taibai.It is mainly used in the treatment of many diseases,such as cold,toothache,rheumatism and bruises.Analgesic,sedative,anti-inflammatory and bacteriostasis are its mainly pharmacological effects.Coumarins,flavonoids,phytosterols,essential oil are its mainly chemical composition,and coumarins are the most important ingredients.In this paper,the chemical components and biological activity of Genus Libanotis Hill were reviewed.A systematic study on the chemical components from the whole herb of Libanotis buchtormensis were separated by modern chromatographic methods,such as Silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20,silica gel thin-layer chromatography,polyamide column chromatography,D101 macroporous resin and recrystallization,and so on.24 compounds were obtained,in which 21 compounds’ structure were elucidated: Mexoticin(1),7-hydroxy-8-(2’,3’-dihydroxy)-isoamyl coumarin(2),Isoimperatorin(3),Imperatorin(4),Xanthotoxin(5),Sibiricin(6),Caffeic acid(7),Quercetin(8),Diosmetin(9),Luteolin(10),Apigenin(11),Isorhamnetin(12),Rutin(13),Hesperidin(14),β-sitosterol(15),Daucosterol(16),Mannitol(17),Palmitic acid(18),Myristic acid(19),Stearic acid(20).The compound(21)is a coumarin,but we don’t know its exact structure and chemical name.The compounds 1-6 are coumarins and the compounds 8-14 are flavonoids.Compounds 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,18,19,20 and 21 were unprecedented isolated from Libanotis buchtormensis and Genus Libanotis Hill by literature retrieval.In this subject,the extraction,separation and identification of monomer compounds were completed.It provides important material and information resources for the development of the species of the Genus Libanotis Hill. |
