Manufacture And Clinical Application Research Of The New Annular External Fixation

Target:To manufacture a new type of annular external fixator which can be quickly installed,adjusted,safe and reliable was developed.The control experiment proved its convenience of operation.The safety and effectiveness of the new type of annular external fixator were proved through the follow-up clinical application results.Methods:A new type of outer ring fixation was manufactured.Twenty tibia models were selected,10 in a group,and divided into two groups.The tibial model external fixation was performed with a new annular external fixation and a traditional Ilizarov external fixation.The assembling time,adjusting time of annular structure and fixing time of external fixator were compared between two groups.The clinical efficacy of 6 cases using the new annular external fixation was followed up,and the incidence and severity of complications during the treatment were recorded.The degree of completion of the expected treatment goals was recorded.The clinical efficacy was evaluated by Paley criteria,Xiaheyao limb extension scale,knee HSS,AOFAS ankle and hindfoot functional scale.Results:By manufacturing a new type of connecting part,this research successfully developed a new type of external ring fixation which can be operated conveniently.Intraoperative fixed bracket,time new annular external fixation group(249.50±16.50 sec)and traditional Ilizarov fixation group(255.30±21.47 sec)than there was no statistically significant difference(P=0.348),preoperative pre-installed support time and intraoperative adjusting time,support the new annular external fixation group(9.26±0.15 min and 48.10±5.29 sec)and the traditional Ilizarov fixation group(15.43±0.49 min,P<0.001;149.70±14.07 sec,P<0.001).The clinical follow-up results of 6 cases using the new annular external fixation were as follows:The excellent and good rates of Paley criteria were 100%,the excellent and good rates of Xiaheyao limb extension criteria were 100%,the HSS score of knee joint before and after surgery(94.26±0.47 and 92.88±0.50 points,P>0.05),and the ankle and hindfoot function score of AOFAS before and after surgery(88.26±0.37 and 86.47±0.39 points,P>0.05).Conclusions:The new annular external fixation manufactured in this study is convenient to install and adjust,can significantly improve work efficiency,and is safe,reliable,and has high clinical application value.
