Suicide is an important issue that needs to be prevented worldwide.In our country,suicide is the leading cause of death among people aged 15-34,and it is also the leading cause of abnormal deaths among contemporary college students.College students are among the high-risk groups of suicide.It is necessary to continuously explore and discover the psychological mechanism behind the suicide behavior of college students,explore the risk factors and protective factors behind suicide,so as to enrich the prevention methods of college students’ suicide.At the same time,with the continuous development of science and technology,the Internet has become an important element in human society,and the study and life of college students cannot be separated from the Internet.However,the rapid development and irreplaceability of the Internet is a double-edged sword,and it will also bring about negative products-cyberbullying.It is like’ an "invisible fist".While impacting the mental health of Internet users,it is Few countries have led to the tragedy of youth suicide.Unlike traditional bullying,cyber bullying has the characteristics of anonymity,pervasiveness,and the identity of violence and victimization.It is more difficult to prevent,and it can cause a series of extreme behaviors such as mental health problems and even self-harm and suicide.At present,researches at home and abroad have supported the high correlation between cyberbullying victims and their suicide,and some psychological mechanisms have been explored,such as the meaning of life,psychological pain,coping patterns,self-esteem,depression,etc.From the point of view of research,the relationship between ruminant thinking and suicidal behavior in cyberbullying is investigated in college students.Suicide behavior is essentially an attack on the self,and many studies have confirmed the impact of aggression and impulse on suicide.Therefore,this study also introduces the level of aggression with personality traits to investigate whether the level of aggression is among the suicidal behaviors of college students.Risk factors.Taking Chinese college students as the research object,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 1461 college students in 5 universities in Wuhan using the Cyber Bullying Victims Questionnaire,Ruminant Thinking Scale,Suicide Behavior Questionnaire,and Attack Level Questionnaire.1379 valid questionnaires were collected and SPSS22.0 was used and process plug-ins examine the mediating role of ruminant thinking and the moderating role of aggression in the mediation model.The results show that:college students with high levels of cyberbullying victims have a higher risk of suicide;ruminating thinking is a mediating variable of the relationship between cyberbullying victimization and suicidal behavior,with a mediating effect value of 0.095,accounting for 28.02%of the total effect;and The level of aggression plays a moderating role in the second half path of the relationship between cyberbullying victimization and suicide behavior mediated by ruminant thinking. |
