Objective : To explore the risk factors of neurological dysfunction after interventional embolization in adolescents with cerebral arteriovenous malformation(BAVM),and to provide more reliable strategies for clinical treatment. Methods :Adolescents with cerebral arteriovenous malformations who underwent interventional embolization at the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from September2011 to September 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.Postoperative to one week,m RS scores were used to assess the neurological status of patients after embolization, and the risk factors of BAVM patients who developed neurological dysfunction after treatment were analyzed by univariate and multivariate regression analysis. Results :Neurological dysfunction occurred in32(20.38%)of 157 BAVM patients returned. After univariate, they showed: a single drainage vein,Spetzler-Martin rating over 3,an abnormal mass with aneurysm,Malformed vascular mass> 3cm and first embolization area was larger than 1/2,a single drainage vein, the lesion in the functional area, and deep drainage veins were all risk factors, but not related to preoperative epilepsy.and By the multivariate analysismultivariate analysis,Adolescents with BAVM after embolism were likely to be complicated by neurological dysfunction,a single drainage vein,Spetzler-Martin rating over 3,an abnormal mass with aneurysm,Malformed vascular mass> 3cm and first embolization area was larger than 1/2,a single drainage vein, the lesion in the functional area, and deep drainage veins were related to the functional area and deep drainage veins. Conclusions :Adolescents with BAVM after embolism were likely to be complicated by neurological dysfunction,a single drainage vein,Spetzler-Martin rating over 3,an abnormal mass with aneurysm,Malformed vascular mass> 3cm and first embolization area was larger than 1/2,a single drainage vein, the lesion in the functional area, and deep drainage veins were related to the functional area and deep drainage veins.
