| Objective:To analyze the efficacy of modified Ma-Griffith suture combined with suture absorbable anchor in the treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture,so as to provide reference basis for clinical treatment.Method:A total of 56 patients with acute Achilles tendon rupture treated in the Department of orthopedics of the Affiliated Hospital of YanBian University from August 2019 to April 2022 were randomly divided into two groups A and B:29 patients in group A(modified Ma-Griffith suture combined with suture absorbable anchor),including 27 males and 2 females; There were 27 patients in group B(modified Kessler suture),26 males and 1 female. All patients underwent standardized functional exercise and were followed up regularly. The follow-up time was 1 month,3 months and 6 months respectively. The gender, location, operation time, hospital stay, intraoperative bleeding, incidence of postoperative complications,American Society of foot and ankle orthopedics score(AOFAS)and Achilles tendon rupture score(ATRs)of the two groups were compared. All data were analyzed by statistical software.Result:All patients were followed up for 8-12 months.Except for one case of incision infection and one case of skin necrosis in group B,all patients’ incisions healed in the first stage. There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05);The operation time of group A was 41.98±0.82min,and that of group B was 43.59±1.26(P<0.05);The hospitalization time of group A was 4.18±1.74 days, and that of group B was 4.20±1.64 days, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);The amount of intraoperative bleeding in group A was 15.48±7.24ml and that in group B was 34.42±6.57ml,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);One complication occurred in group A,the incidence rate was 3.45%,and two complications occurred in group B,the incidence rate was 7.41%,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);One month after operation, the AOFAS function score of the two groups was 54.04±5.90 in group A and 39.37±6.39 in group B.There was significant difference between the two groups by t-test(P<0.05);Three months after operation, group A had 87.56±3.13 points and group B had 83.78±5.99 points. There was significant difference between the two groups by t-test(P<0.05);Six months after operation, group A had 96.74±3.85 points and group B 94.81±5.09 points. There was no significant difference between the two groups by t-test(P>0.05);One month after operation, the ATRs function scores of group A and group B were 75.41±7.65 and 72.37±8.32 respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups by t-test(P<0.05);Three months after operation,91.70 ±4.80 points in group A and 88.63±6.26 points in group B.There was significant difference between the two groups by t-test(P<0.05);Six months after operation, group A had 93.90±1.28 points and group B had 92.19±1.62 points. There was no significant difference between the two groups by t-test(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The modified Ma-Griffith suture combined with suture absorbable anchor in the treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture is more effective than the traditional modified Kessler suture.2.The modified Ma-Griffith suture combined with suture absorbable anchor in the treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture has shorter operation time, less intraoperative blood loss and better functional recovery within three months than the traditional modified Kessler suture. |
