| ObjectiveTo investigate the current situation of male nurses’ work experience(job burnout and work immersion),to explore the relationship between male nurses’ work experience, task load, resilience and social support and its function path.To provide evidence for managers to establish a suitable management model.MethodsThis research is a cross-sectional study adopting the method of convenient sampling.361 male nurses working in jinan city,Shandong Province were selected as the subjects for a questionnaire survey.Male nurses who met the inclusion criteria were investigated by general demographic data questionnaire,Work immersion Scale,Job burnout Scale,Task Load Index,Social Support Scale and mental resilience Scale.SPSS 19.0 statistical software and AMOS23.0 software were used to analyze the data. There are the descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample T test,Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression and structural equation model in the research.Results(1)General demographic data of male nurses:A total of 361 male nurses were investigated, with an average age of(30.7±5.9)years and an average working time of(8.6±5.4)years.Married were 67.3 percent,in this there are 61.2 percent have children.72.6 percent is undergraduates,57 percent is intermediate and primary professional titles, and 86.7 percent of nurses.Contract system accounted for 57.3 percent. The proportion of male nurses in tertiary hospitals is 85 percent. Each work department disperses evenly.(2)The work experience score of male nurses:the total score of job burnout was(34.6±14.8),the score of each dimension from low to high was:personality disintegration(6.1±6.0),emotional exhaustion(9.8±7.9),low sense of achievement(18.7±9.6);The total score of work immersion was(44.6±11.0),and the score of each dimension from low to high was:work enjoyment(14.1±3.8),concentration(14.3±3.5),and intrinsic work motivation(16.1±4.8).(3)The difference of male nurses’ work experience in general demographic data:the total score of job burnout in general demographic and job-related characteristics, such as family economic status, position and personnel relationship, had statistical significance(all P<0.05);The total score of work immersion showed statistically significant differences in general demographic and job-related characteristics such as marital status, children.education level, family economic status, professional title and position(all P<0.05).(4)Correlation analysis of male nurses’ work experience with workload, resilience and social support:Job burnout was negatively correlated with social support(r=-0.388-0.341,P<0.01)and resilience(R=-0.295,P<0.01),low sense of achievement(R=-0.180,P<0.01)was not significantly negatively correlated with workload.Work immersion was positively correlated with social support(R=0.448~0.511,P<0.01)and resilience(R=0.520,P<0.01),while concentration(r=0.120,P<0.05)was not significantly positively correlated with workload.(5)Multiple linear regression analysis of work experience of male nurses:social support(β=-0.327,-0.216,-0.291,P<0.01)significantly negatively predicted job burnout scores, depersonalization, low sense of achievement,resilience(β=-0.281,P<0.01)negatively predicted low sense of achievement;Resilience(β=0.314,0.198,0.294,P<0.01)and social support(β=0.235,0.306,0.261,P<0.01)positively predicted work immersion, concentration, and work enjoyment, while resilience(β=0.315,P<0.01)positively predicted intrinsic work motivation.(6)The results of path analysis showed that social support negatively predicted job burnout(P=-0.350,P<0.001)and positively predicted work immersion(β=0.281,P<0.001).Resilience positively predicted work immersion(β=0.321,P<0.001).Workload had no predictive effect on job burnout and work immersion(P>0.05).Conclusions(1)Job burnout and work immersion of male nurses were at medium level, and there was negative correlation between them.(2)Social support can negatively predict job burnout.Resilience has a negative predictive effect on the achievement and depression of job burnout.(3)Resilience and social support positively predicted work immersion,... |
