Objective:To observe bifocal intraocular lens implantation in both eyes of patients undergoing day cataract surgery.According to the preoperative refractive reservation of the first eye and postoperative refractive error(RE),the intraocular lens reservation of the second eye was adjusted to analyze the influence on the postoperative RE of the second eye. Methods:From January 2021 to December 2021,32 patients with day cataract in our hospital were selected as the research subjects. The surgery interval for both eyes was two weeks. The intraocular lens diopter was measured by IOL-Master before surgery. After selecting reserved diopter,Haigis,SRK-T,Hoffer Q,Holladay and Barrett Ⅱ formula were used to calculate IOL diopter.Phaco combined with IOL implantation was performed on all patients, and RE was calculated by optometric results 1 week after surgery. When the refractive error of the first eye was beyond the range of ± 0.5D,the IOL diopter of the second eye was adjusted. The RE of the second eye was analyzed according to the optometric results one month after surgery. The absolute error(AE)and mean absolute error(MAE)of the first eye one week after surgery and the second eye one month after surgery were calculated respectively. This study used Haigis,SRK-T,Hoffer Q,Holladay and Barrett Ⅱformulas to analyze the correlation between the RE of the first eye one week after surgery and the RE of the second eye one month after surgery.Results:1.After using Haigis,SRK-T,Hoffer Q,Holladay and Barrett Ⅱformula,MAE of the second postoperative eye was lower than that of the first postoperative eye, which was no statistically significant(P>0.05).2.After the adjustment of reservation diopter,AE of the second eye was lower than that of the first eye, with statistical significance(P<0.05).3.The RE of the first eye 1 week after surgery was significantly correlated with that of the second eye 1 month after surgery(r=0.666[Haigis],0.756[SRK-T],0.769[Hoffer Q],0.777[Holladay],0.751[Barrett Ⅱ];P<0.05).Conclusions:The interval between cataract operations was two weeks. The postoperative RE of the first eye can guide the selection of IOL of the second eye.The correlation of RE between two eyes in patients with day cataract was confirmed. After implantation of bifocal IOL in eyes, the number of people in the RE range of ±0.5D in the second eye accounted for more than that in the first eye.
