| Objectives: Explore the status quo of the demoralization, social support and posttraumatic growth of cancer patients;analyze the differences in general demographic characteristics of demoralization, social support and posttraumatic growth of cancer patients;clarify the relationship and main influencing factors of demoralization, social support and posttraumatic growth of cancer patients;provide a theoretical basis for nursing workers to formulate targeted intervention measures to improve the demoralization state of cancer patients, increase the level of social support, and promote post-traumatic growth. Methods: In this study, the convenience sampling method was used to select 292 inpatient cancer patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in a tertiary first-class general hospital in Jilin Province from April 2021 to November 2021 as the research objects. The research tools include the general information questionnaire, the Demoralization Scale-Mandarin Version(DS-MV),the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),and the Chinese-Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(C-PTGI).Using SPSS26.0 statistical analysis software,t-test,one-way analysis of variance, multiple linear regression and other methods were used for statistical analysis of the collected data.Results:(1)The demoralization score with cancer patients was 32.65±11.28(out of 96points),and 51.4%(150 cases)of cancer patients were in a state of high demoralization, with different marital status, educational level, work status, per capita monthly income of the family, duration of the disease, and main caregiver during illness had significant differences in the aspect of demoralization(P<0.05).(2)The social support score of cancer patients is 39.90±7.80(out of 66 points),and the social support of cancer patients with different age, marital status, educational level, work status, per capita monthly income of family, form of medical payment, and main caregiver during illness had significant differences in the aspect of social support(P<0.05).(3)The posttraumatic growth score of cancer patients was 50.52±15.17(out of100 points),with different age, gender, marital status, educational level, work status, per capita monthly family income, duration of disease, tumor stage, and main caregivers during the illness had significant differences in the aspect of posttraumatic growth(P<0.05).(4)The results of correlation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between demoralization and social support in cancer patients(r=-0.388,P<0.01),and a negative relationship between demoralization and posttraumatic growth(r=-0.415,P<0.01)),social support was positively correlated with posttraumatic growth(r=0.361,P<0.01).(5)The results of multiple regression analysis showed that demoralization, social support, age, marital status, educational level, duration of disease, tumor stage, and primary caregiver during the disease were the main influencing factors of posttraumatic growth in cancer patients, above eight variables can jointly explain41.0% of the total variation in posttraumatic growth in cancer patients.Conclusions:(1)More than half of cancer patients are in a state of high demoralization, the social support score of cancer patients is in the upper middle position, and the posttraumatic growth score of cancer patients is in the middle position.(2)The higher the level of demoralization in cancer patients, the lower the level of social support and posttraumatic growth. The higher the level of social support in cancer patients, the higher the level of posttraumatic growth. To improve the state of demoralization in cancer patients, improve their social support level, and help patients achieve posttraumatic growth.(3)The main influencing factors of posttraumatic growth of cancer patients are demoralization, social support, age, marital status, educational level, duration of disease, tumor stage, and primary caregivers during the disease period, among which the primary caregiver during the illness had the greatest impact on the patient’s posttraumatic growth level. |
