A Study Of The Mandibular Anatomical Structure Of Adults In Jincheng,Shanxi Province By Cone Beam Computed Tomography

PurposeIn order to study the distribution of the types of the impacted third mandibular mill in Jincheng area of Shanxi Province,the image data of adult mandible Cone beam Computed Tomography(CBCT)were measured and analyzed,the relationship between the mandibular impacted teeth and the three dimensional position of inferior alveolar nerve was analyzed.At the same time,the anatomical structure of the mental foramen was studied.providing theoretical basis for dental implants and alveoral surgery.MethodsThe location relationships of impacted teeth,impacted teeth and the inferior alveolar nerve were classified and analyzed in 193 cases of Mandibular Cone beam Computed Tomography(CBCT)images,at the same time,121 patients were observed,measured and analyzed the mental foramen position distribution and the mental foramen anatomy related data.The results were analyzed with SPSS 26.0 software.Results1.The number of high and low impacted teeth in males was lower than that in females,while the number of median impacted teeth was higher than that in females.The number of middle high and low impacted teeth in the age group over 40 years was higher than that in the age group 15-25 years,while the number of middle impacted teeth in the age group over 40 years was lower than that in the age group 15-25 years.The proportion of vertical,near middle and inverted impacted was higher than 40 years old,the proportion of distal,buccal,lingual and horizontal impacted teeth was less.Middle and low impacted teeth were more closely related to inferior alveolar nerve than high impacted teeth,while high impacted teeth were vice versa.The proportion of inferior alveolar nerve located in the apical of any impacted tooth is higher.2.The mental foramen was located between the first and second premolars in 121 sides,between the second and first premolars in 106 sides,between the second and first premolars in 12 sides,and between the first and second premolars in 1 side.The mean value of chin-tongue distance was 10.16 mm,the angle of water was 115.39 °,and the angle of sagittal was 30.41 °.The length of the tube is 7.06 mm。ConclusionThe high and low impacted teeth were more common in men over 40 years old in Jincheng area of Shanxi Province,and the middle and low impacted teeth were closely related to the inferior alveolar nerve.The classification statistics of local impacted teeth and the analysis of the relationship between the inferior alveolar nerve are helpful to guide clinical practice.Most of the mental foramen were located between the first and second premolars,followed by the second premolars.In most cases,the implant tip can be flush to the mental foramen,or deep,depending on the CBCT.
