Purpose: This study initially establishes a relatively complete database by investigating and analyzing the basic situation(number,structure,distribution,etc.)of dental health institutions at all levels and the current situation(number,titles,education,etc.)of dental human resources allocation and fairness of distribution in Zunyi.The purpose of this study is to understand the current situation and the characteristics of the dental health institutions and its human resource of Zunyi so as to provide a reference basis for more reasonable planning and allocation of dental health resources and to make the dental health service better meet the growing dental health need of local residents.Method: Design a questionnaire.All the dental health institutions within the jurisdiction of Zunyi were surveyed by filling out the questionnaire.It was the Zunyi Municipal Health Bureau that sent the questionnaire to all the dental health institutions registered within their jurisdiction(as of December 2020).And collected the questionnaires being which have been completed,established the database by using the Excel 2019 software,carried out the logical verification and statistical analysis of the data by using the SPSS 23.0 software,and then performed the equity analysis by using the Lorenz Curve and the Gini Coefficient.Result:1.Overview of dental health institutions in ZunyiAs of December 2020,a total of 219 dental health institutions were officially registered in Zunyi.In this survey,219 questionnaires were issued and 189 of them were valid(the rate of recovery was 86.30%),which included 50 public dental health institutions(26.46%)and 145non-public dental health institutions(73.54%).In terms of regional distribution,there were 97 dental health institutions which belongs to urban areas,accounting for 51.32%.And there were92 dental health institutions which belongs to counties and districts,accounting for48.68%(county-level cities are included by counties and districts).Overview of dental health human resources in Zunyi.2.Overview of human resources of dental health institutions in ZunyiAmong the 189 dental health institutions surveyed in Zunyi,a total of 1589 dental health professional personnel,including 802 dentists,657 dental nurses and 130 dental technicians,with doctor-nurse ratio of 1.22:1.As for the composition of titles,15(3.53%)of all dentists in public institutions had senior titles;73(17.17%)had associate titles;117(27.53%)had intermediate titles;and 183(43.06%)had junior titles.The titles of dentists in urban areas were higher than those of dentists in county areas(P<0.05).In terms of education background,among all dentists,18(2.24%)had doctoral dental degrees and above;128(15.96%)had master’s degrees;411(51.25%)had undergraduate degrees;241(30.05%)had junior college degrees;and 4(0.50%)had high school degrees and below.The education background of dentists in urban areas was higher than that of dentists in county areas(P<0.05).And the education background of dentists in public dental health institutions was also higher than that of non-public dental health institutions(P<0.05).3.Correlation between dentist density and regional economy in ZunyiThere was a positive correlation between the density of dentists in Zunyi and per capita GDP in different regions(PCCs r=0.871,P<0.01);while there was no significant correlation between the density of dentists and the permanent resident population of different countries(PCCs r=0.010,P>0.01).4.Fairness of dental health resource allocation in Zunyi4.Fairness of dental health resource allocation in ZunyiThe dental health resources of Zuni City were allocated to dental health institutions(G=0.421),dentists(G=0.526),and dental nurses(G=0.602)in accordance with the Gini coefficients of population distribution,which are generally in the alert state and relatively and inequitably distributed.The Gini coefficients distributed by geographic area were dental health institutions(G=0.516),dentists(G=0.600),and dental nurses(G=0.679),with an overall dangerous state and a highly inequitable distribution.5.Basic situation of environmental hygiene of dental health institutions in ZunyiAs of sewage discharge,189 dental health institutions surveyed in Zunyi have a daily sewage discharge of 3,172.87 tons,of which 95.77% are equipped with sewage treatment equipment;85.71% discharged it into the urban sewage treatment system;94.18% meet the requirements for sewage discharge;64.02% have obtained sewage discharge permits;96.83%disinfected the discharged sewage.As of hospital infection control,the infection governance and organization system have been completed in dental specialty hospital,and the compliance rate of 24 projects is all 100%.The compliance rate of 20 systems in the dental department of general hospitals is between 90% and 100%,and 3 systems is between 85% and 90%.The compliance rate of 16 systems in dental clinics,outpatient departments and other institutions is between 90% and 100%,and 5 systems is between 90% and 100%.Conclusion: 1.The dental health institutions in Zunyi are mainly located in urban areas,and the proportion of non-public dental health institutions exceed that of public institutions.2.The quantity of dental health human resources in Zunyi is insufficient,the level of Title is predominantly junior,The level of education is predominantly undergraduate and specialist.3.There is a positive correlation between the density of dentists in Zunyi and the economic development level of different regions.4.The distribution of dental health resources by population in Zunyi is in an alarming state while the distribution by geographical area is in a dangerous state.5.The quality of sewage treatment and disinfection equipment of non-public health institutions in Zunyi needs to be improved.And there is a lack of professional hospitalization managers and insufficient awareness of hospitalization control.
