BackgroundWith the development of the current bio-psychological-social integrated medical model and the increasing demand for residents’ health services, the majority of residents have put forward higher requirements for the nursing ability and quality of disease rehabilitation and health services.Clinical nurses work in front-line positions for a long time and need to deal with the sharp and complex relationship between nurses and patients, doctors and nurses. To a certain extent,it affects the work quality and work performance of clinical nurses.A good clinical nurse will have a high level of self-confidence,be able to face stress, deal with problems, and keep work performance unimpeded with a positive attitude. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore how the work performance of clinical nurses is affected by adversity.Research purposesTo study the status quo of clinical nurses’ adversity quotient, work performance, and self-efficacy;to analyze the differences in adversarial quotient, work performance, and self-efficacy in different demographic characteristics and their relationship;to analyze the influencing factors of clinical nurses’ work performance; The role of clinical nurses’ self-efficacy between adversity quotient and work performance;it provides a reference for improving clinical nurses’ work performance and improving the level of hospital scientific management.Research methodIn this study, the convenience sampling method was used to select clinical nurses from 8 hospitals in Kaifeng City as the research objects, and to conduct a questionnaire survey on the clinical nurses using the general demographic data questionnaire, adversity quotient scale, work performance scale and self-efficacy scale.Epidata 3.1 software was used for data entry, and SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Statistical methods include descriptive analysis, univariate analysis,Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, mediation effect test, etc.Research result1.Descriptive analysis:The self-efficacy score of clinical nurses was(25.45±5.79)points,and the item average score was(2.55±0.58)points;the work performance score of clinical nurses was(41.52±7.80)points,and the items of both dimensions were equally divided into:task performance(3.79 ± 0.76)points,relationship performance points(3.76±0.73)points;clinical nurses’ adversity quotient score was(139.11±21.52)points,and the four dimensions were equally divided into:control(3.50±0.60)points,responsibility(3.50±0.62)points,adversity influence range(3.49±0.61)points,adversity influence time(3.43±0.60)points.2.Single factor analysis:There were significant differences in the self-efficacy scores of clinical nurses among different genders, ages, marital status, professional titles, personnel and labor relations with the unit, working years in the unit, and average monthly income(P<0.05);the work performance scores of clinical nurses There were significant differences between different ages, marital status, personnel and labor relations with the unit, working years in the unit, and average monthly income(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the adversity quotient scores of clinical nurses among different ages, hospital types, whether they were head nurses, professional titles, personnel and labor relations with the unit, and working years in the unit(P<0.05).3.Pearson’s correlation analysis:The self-efficacy of clinical nurses was positively correlated with work performance, and the correlation coefficient was 0.581;the self-efficacy of clinical nurses was positively correlated with the adversity quotient, and the correlation coefficient was 0.277;the work performance of clinical nurses was positively correlated with the adversity quotient, and the correlation coefficient was 0.277.is 0.271.4.Multiple linear regression analysis:The significant influencing factors of the work performance of clinical nurses were adversity quotient,self-efficacy,marital status, professional title and average monthly income(P<0.05),which together explained 38.5%of the variation; There was no significant effect on work performance(P>0.05).5.Mediation test:Self-efficacy played a partial mediating role between adversity quotient and work performance(β=0.043,P<0.01),the indirect effect of self-efficacy was 0.055,and the Bootstrap 95%CI was(0.033,0.079),and the mediating effect accounted for 0.055 of the total effect. The ratio is 56.1%.Research conclusionIn this paper, the work performance and self-efficacy scores of clinical nurses are at a medium level, and the adversity quotient score is at a high level, and there is a significant positive correlation between each variable. In addition, clinical nurses’ work performance is affected by multiple factors, and self-efficacy plays a partial mediating role between adversity quotient and work performance. Therefore, nursing managers should strengthen the cultivation of nurses’ adversity quotient and self-efficacy,so as to improve their work performance.
