Objective: To understand the specific needs of the main caregivers of children with cerebral palsy for continuous nursing,and based on the survey results,build a continuous nursing program for children with cerebral palsy,aiming to provide help for the caregivers of children with cerebral palsy,and provide scientific basis and evaluation standards for clinical nursing practice.Methods: A combination of qualitative and quantitative research was conducted to investigate the specific needs of primary caregivers for continuing care of children with cerebral palsy after discharge from hospital.The qualitative research used the interview method to conduct semi-structured interviews with 11 primary caregivers of children with cerebral palsy,and the quantitative research used the questionnaire survey method to investigate the needs of 118 primary caregivers of children with cerebral palsy.On the basis of the demand survey,combined with relevant literature,a continuous nursing program for children with cerebral palsy was initially constructed.The Delphi method was applied to conduct expert consultation on the content of the nursing plan,and the final nursing plan was formed after two rounds of consultation.Results: In the survey on the continuing nursing needs of the main caregivers of children with cerebral palsy,four themes were extracted from the qualitative research part,namely,high demand for continuous nursing,diversified demand for nursing content,We Chat and home visits are the most preferred methods,The frequency and duration of follow-up vary greatly;quantitative research shows that the main caregiver’s continuous nursing needs score is(4.67±0.49)points,and the top 5 continuous nursing needs are "functional exercise guidance","daily life Guidance","Emergency Guidance","Information Guidance" and "Assistive Devices and Orthotics Guidance".The enthusiasm of the two rounds of expert consultation was 90.48% and 100%respectively,and the experts who made specific suggestions accounted for 57.89% and21.05% respectively;the expert authority coefficients were 0.877 and 0.887 respectively;the Kendall harmony coefficient was 0.146-0.278.Continued care program for children with cerebral palsy including 7 first-level items,34 second-level items and 71 third-level items was constructed.Conclusions: Children with cerebral palsy after discharge from the hospital have higher needs for the main caregivers,mainly for children’s functional exercise knowledge and improvement of daily living ability,etc.The demand for service methods tends to be We Chat and family visits.The continuous nursing program for children with cerebral palsy constructed by the Delphi method is scientific and feasible,and can provide scientific guidance for the continuous nursing service for children with cerebral palsy. |
