Objective:To explore the proportion of abnormal embryonic chromosomes in patients with spontaneous abortion and the correlation between vitamin D and thyroid function in spontaneous abortion patients with normal embryonic chromosomes.Methods:(1)A total of 340 patients with spontaneous abortion(≤12 weeks)were collected at the Center of Reproductive Medicine of Children’s Hospital of Shanxi and Women Health Center of Shanxi,from January 2019 to June 2021.According to the results of embryo chromosome,the patients with spontaneous abortion were divided into normal embryo chromosome group and abnormal embryo chromosome group;(2)The spontaneous abortion patients with normal embryonic chromosomes were selected as the study group,while healthy pregnant women(≤12 weeks)were selected during the same period as the control group.25-(OH)D3,thyrotropin stimulating hormone(TSH),free triiodothyrosine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4),thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb),thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb)and thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb)of the two groups were collected,and the difference and correlation between the two groups were analyzed.Results:(1)A total of 340 spontaneous abortion patients were collected in this study,including162 cases of normal embryo chromosome and 178 cases of abnormal embryo chromosome,and with an abnormal rate of 52.4%(178/340).The age was significantly higher in the abnormal embryo chromosome group than in the normal embryo chromosome group(P <0.05).(2)In the study group(the spontaneous abortion patients with normal embryonic chromosomes),the serum 25-(OH)D3 level was significantly lower than that in the control group(healthy pregnant women)(P < 0.001),while the serum TSH level was significantly higher than that in the control group(healthy pregnant women)(P < 0.001).In addition,the positive rate of TPOAb and TGAb were significantly higher than that in the control group(healthy pregnant women)(P=0.02,P=0.008,respectively).(3)However,there was no correlation between vitamin D and TSH(r=0.059,P=0.650),TPOAb(r=-0.110,P=0.400)and TGAb(r=-0.167,P=0.199)in the study group(the spontaneous abortion patients with normal embryonic chromosomes).Conclusions:(1)Embryo chromosome abnormality is believed to be the main cause of spontaneous abortion,and older pregnant women(≥35 years old)are more likely to present with embryo chromosome abnormality.(2)The Vitamin D deficiency,and TSH elevation,TPOAb-positive and TGAb-positive during early pregnancy are closely related to spontaneous abortion.
