Objective:In this study, moxibustion combined with Shao Fu Zhu Yu Decoction was applied to treat cold coagulation and blood stasis type recurrent uterine fibroids. And the clinical effect of this therapy on recurrent uterine leiomyoma after surgery would worth much research and discussion follow,by observing the improvement of clinical symptoms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and the change of uterine leiomyoma volume before and after treatment, providing an objective theoretical basis for the treatment of this disease in traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Sixty-six patients with recurrent uterine fibroids of cold coagulation and blood stasis type were collected and randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with Shao Fu Zhu Yu Decoction, then the treatment group combined moxibustion on the basis of the former group. The changes in TCM syndrome score and the volume and size of uterine fibroids examined by B-ultrasound were observed before and after treatment in the two groups. At the same time, all data would be input into SPSS24.0software for statistical analysis.Results:1.Comparison of TCM syndrome score: After three months of treatment,TCM syndrome score of both groups reduced(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. In addition, moxibustion combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine was superior to Traditional Chinese Medicine alone in improving the clinical symptoms of Traditional Chinese Medicine with P<0.05.2.Comparison of fibroid volume and size: After three months of treatment, fibroid volume shrank in both groups with P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant. The efficacy of moxibustion combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine in reducing uterine fibroids was significantly better than that of oral treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine alone(P<0.05).3.Comparison of TCM syndrome efficacy: after three months of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was86.67% and 73.33% respectively. The treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving the curative effect of TCM syndrome, and there was a major difference between the two groups with P<0.05.4.Comparison of Fibroid volume measurement efficacy: after three months of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 83.33% and 70.00% correspondingly.Compared with the control group, the treatment group could considerably reduce the uterine fibroids, and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:In this study,it was discovered that moxibustion combined with Shao Fu Zhu Yu Decoction combined plus oral administration has a meaningful effect on the cold coagulation and blood stasis type of recurrent uterine fibroids. And it is superior to Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy in improving TCM syndrome and reducing uterine fibroid volume. What’s more, patients with fibroid recurrence after hysterectomy often have a fear of the second operation, compared with the better acceptance of Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment. Therefore, the study aims to provide new ideas for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of recurrent uterine fibroids and enrich the clinical treatment methods.
