Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine retention enema combined with proximal needing in the treatment of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease of damp-heat stasis.Methods:Sixty-six patients with SPID of damp-heat stasis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 33 cases in each group.Treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine retain enema combined with proximal needing and the control group given Chinese medicine retain enema, both groups began treatment 3 days after menstruation,18 days as a course of treatment,a total of 2 menstrual cycles. The TCM syndrome score, local signs score, comprehensive efficacy score and VAS score were observed and recorded before treatment, after treatment and during follow-up,and statistical analysis was performed with SPASS25.0.Results:1.Clinical efficacy: In the comprehensive efficacy evaluation, the total effective rate of the treatment group(87.10%)was higher than that of the control group(75.00%),P =0.021< 0.05,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant, indicating that the efficacy of TCM retention enema combined with proximal needing was better than that of TCM retention enema. In the evaluation of TCM syndrome efficacy, the total effective rate of the treatment group(87.10%)was higher than that of the control group(78.13%),P =0.038<0.05,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant, indicating that TCM retention enema combined with proximal needing was superior to TCM retention enema in improving TCM syndrome of patients.2.Intra-group comparison: After treatment, the average scores of TCM syndrome, local signs, comprehensive score and VAS score in the treatment group and the control group were all reduced.Intra-group comparison showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),indicating that all symptoms were improved in both groups.3.Comparison between group: After treatment, there were statistically significant differences in TCM syndrome, local signs, comprehensive scores and VAS score between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05),indicating that TCM retention enema combined with proximal needing is superior to TCM retention enema alone in improving TCM syndrome, local signs and relieving pain of patients.4.Follow-up: Patients whose comprehensive efficacy was evaluated as cured, markedly effective and effective were followed up.Compared with the data before treatment, the mean scores of TCM syndromes, local signs, comprehensive score and VAS scores in the treatment group and the control group were all reduced, and the differences in the above aspects were statistically significant(P<0.05).The comparison of the follow-up data between the treatment group and the control group showed statistically significant differences in all aspects mentioned above(P<0.05),indicating that both treatment methods have a certain degree of persistence, but the clinical efficacy of TCM retention enema combined with proximal needing is better than that of TCM retention enema. Conclusion:Both TCM retention enema alone and TCM retention enema combined with proximal needing can improve TCM syndromes and local signs of patients with sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease, and can effectively relieve pain symptoms of patients, but the clinical effect of TCM retention enema combined with proximal needing is better than that of TCM retention enema alone.
