Research On The Improvement Of Rural Medical And Health Service Capacity Under The Healthy China Strategy

The 100-year history of the Communist Party of China leading rural medical and health undertakings,especially since the 18 th CPC National Congress,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has always adhered to the thought that making people-oriented,putting people’s life and health as the fundamental,comprehensively promotes the construction of a healthy China.The focus of China’s medical and health work has been shifted downward,the medical and health resources have been transferred to rural areas,and the construction of a safe,effective,convenient and low-cost rural medical and health service system for everyone has achieved rapid development.The outbreak of COVID-19 in the winter of 2019 is a centralized test of the effectiveness of the construction of China’s rural medical and health service system.Through semi-structured interviews and community observations of medical and health workers and people in S Village,Jiaozuo,Henan Province,it was found that the improvement of rural medical and health service capabilities has provided a systematic guarantee for the prevention and control of the epidemic in the vast rural areas.Since the outbreak of the epidemic,rural medical and health institutions have been operating effectively,and grass-roots health workers have actively participated in epidemic prevention and control,and played an important role in daily diagnosis and treatment,epidemic investigation,and isolation and observation.On the other hand,epidemic prevention and control has also exposed the shortcomings and deficiencies of rural medical and health services in terms of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment,infrastructure,and service capabilities.In this regard,under the conditions of the new era,it is necessary to adhere to the guidance of Marx and Engels’ thought of people’s health and Xi Jinping’s people-centered thought,adhere to the equalization of basic medical and health services,improve rural medical and health policies,and improve the rural medical and health service system,strengthen the construction of rural medical and health teams,optimize the allocation of rural medical and health resources,and promote the coordinated participation of multiple social entities,further enhance the service capabilities of rural medical and health institutions,and further promote the construction of a healthy China.
