Objective: To study the clinical effects of uniportal video-assisted thoracic surgery and biportal video-assisted thoracic surgery treating the early non-small cell lung cancer. Methods: Patients with stage I non-small cell lung cancer in thoracic surgery department of Nanxishan Hospital affiliated to Guilin Medical University from July 2018 to January 2021 were collected and divided into the group of uniportal VATS(n=28)and the group of biportal VATS(n=34)in the light of their surgery way.The data of the two groups were compared, including the perioperative indexes, postoperative complications, recurrence and metastasis after 1 year follow-up.Results: There was no statistical significance between the difference of two groups in operation time, postoperative hospital stay, bleeding during operation, drainage after operation, the number of lymph node dissection groups, the number of dissected lymph node, pain scores of postoperative 72 h,and total hospitalization expenses(P>0.05).The retention time of thoracic tube in the group of uniportal VATS was longer than that in the group of biportal VATS(5.68±2.51 vs 4.50±1.42,P=0.023)d,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but the total length of incision(3.2±0.58 vs 3.9±0.50,P=0.000)cm and 24-hour postoperative pain score(3.61±0.79 vs 4.38±1.07,P=0.002)in the group of uniportal VATS were less than those in the control group,These differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance between the difference of the two groups in the incidence of postoperative complications and postoperative recurrence and metastasis(P>0.05).Conclusions: There was no significant difference in safety of operation between the two groups. The uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery has certain advantages over the biportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in postoperative pain and incisive length.
