Study On The Effect Of Functional Physical Training On Firefighters’ Physical Performance And Risk Of Sports Injuries

Research background: With the advancement of professional fire protection in my country,the newly promulgated "National Fire Protection Law" has put forward new requirements for firefighters’ responsibilities.Firefighters have a wider range of tasks and more responsibilities than ever before.The level of physical fitness of firefighters is an important basis for supporting their longer careers.At present,the physical training of firefighters in my country pays attention to special physical training,ignoring the status quo of basic physical training,which also lays a hidden danger for firefighters’ sports injuries.Research purposes: This study selected male grass-roots firefighters from the Fire Rescue Detachment in Yangjiang City,Guangdong Province,and conducted functional training and exercise interventions for the experimental group and control group,respectively,to explore the effect of functional physical training on the physical performance and sports injuries of firefighters.The effect of risk.Research objects and methods: The experimental group(N=34)was given a 12-week functional training intervention and the control group(N=34)was given a 12-week routine exercise intervention by means of the experimental method;(3)The paired sample T test was used The scores of basic physical fitness,FMS and special physical fitness measured before and after the two groups of experimental group and control group were compared and analyzed.Research results:(1)After 12 weeks of functional training,the experimental group’s performance in basic physical fitness,FMS and special physical fitness has been significantly improved,reducing the risk of sports injuries;(2)The control group has undergone 12 weeks of routine training.There was no significant change in physical fitness and FMS scores,and some special physical fitness scores decreased significantly.Research conclusion: 12-week functional training has a significant positive effect on the basic physical fitness,special physical fitness level and sports injury risk of firefighters in Yangjiang City.
