Research On Huang Yuanyu’s Academic Thought Of Treating Diseases From "Depression"

Huang Yuanyu,a famous doctor in the Qing Dynasty,entered medicine from Confucianism.Influenced by the thought of Confucian classics,he followed the "Four Saints" and established a human physiological model of "one Qi flows around and the earth pivots around the four images" based on Neijing,Nan Jing,treatise on Febrile Diseases and synopsis of the golden chamber.Huang’s theory of "Yu" is based on this and has its own characteristics.Although Huang Yuan’s study of the imperial court paid particular attention to the study of the classics of the four saints,its attitude towards the physicians of the song,Jin,yuan and Ming Dynasties and the Qing Dynasty was not entirely a subjective exclusion attitude generally recognized by later scholars,but more an objective inheritance and development,of which "Yu" was a specific example."Yu" has a long history in the history of traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years.Up to the classics of Qin and Han Dynasties,it is inherited from the famous masters of song and Yuan Dynasties.They all attach importance to the important role of "Yu" in the occurrence and development of diseases,and point out that "Yu" is the fundamental pathogenesis of various diseases.In the Qing Dynasty,Huang Yuanyu,under the inheritance of the ideas of previous generations,especially "Mu Yu",believes that all diseases are caused by Mu Yu,Therefore,more attention should be paid to the treatment of the pathogenesis of "Mu Yu" in the differentiation and treatment of diseases,and a complete system of principles,methods,prescriptions and drugs should be formed.In addition to "Mu Yu",Huang still mentioned "Jin Yu","Huo Yu","Tu Yu" and "Shui Yu" in his book,but they are not as complete as the "Mu Yu" theory,method,prescription and medicine system.Among the doctors of all dynasties,they all paid attention to the "depression syndrome".Zhudanxi,one of the four masters of medicine in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties,was the first to clearly involve the "depression" of the human body.Later,Dai Sigong and others inherited his theory,but most of them were limited to the differentiation and treatment of viscera diseases.Up to Huang,he pointed out that this is also of guiding significance for exogenous diseases,especially in the treatment of febrile diseases.Based on the theory of three cardinal principles,he inherited Qi Huang and Zhong Jing from afar,combined with Liu Wansu’s theory of cold and cool in the river,and paid attention to the treatment of "Ying Yu" in one continuous line.It can be seen from this that Huang’s theory of "wood stagnation" is a summary and play of the syndrome differentiation and treatment of depression before the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.Based on the academic thought of "one Qi flows around,earth pivots and four images" established by Huang Shi,this topic selects the original text of "depression" in his representative works "Four Saints’ heart source" and "Four Saints’ hanging pivot" to present the specific laws of disease differentiation and treatment.By systematically combing Huang Yuanyu’s viewpoint of "depression syndrome",the scientific connotation of "one Qi flows around and the earth pivots around the four images" is clarified.This paper comprehensively combs Huang Yuanyu’s academic thought of "depression syndrome" from the four aspects of "theory,law,prescription and medicine",points out the clinical dominant diseases of Huang Yuanyu’s academic thought of "depression syndrome",and guides clinical practice.
