Objective: To investigate the application of diffusion kurtosis imaging(DKI)and T2 mapping imaging quantitative parameters to the degree of cervical disc degeneration.Materials and Methods:We selected 80 patients from the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from October 2020 to April 2021.T2 WI,DKI and T2 mapping quantitative imaging of cervical spine were performed with SIEMENS PRISMA 3.0 T MRI scanner.The degree of cervical disc degeneration was classified according to Miyazaki classification.The region of interest of cervical intervertebral disc was delineated by post-processing software,and the parameters were recorded.The relationship between the quantitative parameters of DKI,mean diffusivity(MD),mean kurtosis(MK),T2 value of T2 mapping parameter and Miyazaki grade,subject gender and intervertebral disc morphology was analyzed.Results:There was significant difference between different segments of cervical intervertebral disc and Miyazaki grade(P = 0.007).There was a certain statistical significance between Miyazaki’s different grades of cervical intervertebral disc and the subject’s gender(P = 0.030).There was significant difference between Miyazaki grade of cervical intervertebral disc and the age of subjects(P = 0.000),and there was a high positive correlation(r = 0.793,P = 0.000).The MD value had a high negative correlation with the Miyazaki grading(r =-0.850,P < 0.01),the MK value had a high positive correlation with the Miyazaki grading(r = 0.785,P < 0.01),and the T2 value had a high negative correlation with the Miyazaki grading(r =-0.851,P < 0.01).The T2 value of C6 / 7 segment(56.51±24.58)was higher than that of C2 / 3(50.43±18.13)、C3/4(49.96±17.51)、C4/5(48.18±14.08)、C5/6(47.64±15.95)(P <0.05)segment.There was no significant difference in the MD,MK and T2 values of cervical intervertebral disc in different segments between male and female(P > 0.05).There was significant difference in the values of MD,MK and T2 in different forms of intervertebral discs(P = 0.000).Conclusion: DKI and T2 mapping imaging are helpful to quantitatively analyze the degree of cervical intervertebral disc degeneration.Their parameter values can reflect the molecular biological changes of degenerative intervertebral disc.MD,MK and T2 values have a certain correlation with Miyazaki grade,but there is no significant difference in male and female.The differences of MD,MK and T2 values among different forms of intervertebral discs were statistically significant and correlated.
