Objective:The treatment of psoriasis vulgaris by traditional Chinese medicine bath combined with narrowband ultraviolet B radiation(NB-UVB).To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine bath combined with narrowband ultraviolet B radiation(NB-UVB)on psoriasis vulgaris, and the effect of serum interleukin-8(IL-8)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Methods: A total of 60 patients from our department from January 2021 to June 2022 were collected and divided into two groups,30 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine bath combined with narrow-spectrum medium wave ultraviolet(NB-UVB)irradiation and carpotriol ointment. The control group was treated with starch bath combined with narrow-spectrum ultraviolet(NB-UVB)irradiation and carpotriol ointment.Image acquisition,PGA score and DLQI score were performed at 2,4 and 8 weeks. The serum levels of IL-8 and VEGF were evaluated at the 8th week of treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups.Results:1.In the experimental group,2 cases were lost,a total of 28 cases completed the study;1cases were lost and twenty-nine patients completed the study in the control group,.There was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease and other general data between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Compared with patients before the treatment, the PGA scores of the two groups decreased at the 2,4,and 8 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).The PGA response rates of the experimental group and the control group were respectively 42.8% and 20.6% at the8 weeks.Compared with the control group, patients in the experimental group had a greater decrease in PGA scores, which was statistically significant at 4 and 8weeks(P<0.05).Similarly,the DLQI scores of the experimental group decreased at 2,4,and 8 weeks after treatment, while the DLQI scores of the control group decreased at 2,4,and 8 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).The decrease in DLQI scores was greater in the experimental group than in the control group, and was statistically significant at 4 and 8weeks(P<0.05).3.Compared with before treatment, the serum levels of IL-8 and VEGF in the two groups were significantly decreased after 8 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the levels of serum IL-8 and VEGF in the experimental group decreased significantly(P<0.05).Pearson linear correlation analysis showed that PGA score was positively correlated with serum IL-8 and VEGF expression in psoriasis patients.4.In the experimental group,1 case of skin dryness and 1 case of skin pigmentation occurred, and the incidence of skin adverse reactions was 7.1%.In the control group, there was 1 case of contact dermatitis,1 case of dry skin and 1 case of skin pigmentation. The incidence of skin adverse reactions was 10.3%,and there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine bath combined with narrow-spectrum medium wave ultraviolet(NB-UVB)irradiation in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris can achieve a high overall effective rate. The serum levels of interleukin-8(IL-8)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)were significantly declined. There are few adverse reactions in both groups.
