Research On The Influencing Factors Of Outpatient’s Usage Intention Towards Internet Hospital Diagnosis And Treatment Services

Objective:Internet hospital is a health care service platform based on Internet technology.As its core function,Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment service has been rapidly developed and widely concerned in recent years.Through the theoretical model construction and empirical research verification,we can clarify the patient’s awareness,usage demand,usage intention and influencing factors.Providing countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services,improving patients’ use intention,promoting the sustainable development of Internet hospitals.Methods:Search relevant literature in Chinese and foreign language databases,so as to understand the development status and research trend of Internet hospitals at home and abroad.Based on the UTAUT model and the individual characteristics of perceived risk,e-health literacy and individual creativity,this paper constructs a theoretical model of patients’ usage intention toward Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services.The questionnaire was designed according to the definition of theoretical model variables and interview contents,and a questionnaire survey was carried out in the outpatient department of the entity hospital corresponding to the Internet hospital.Use descriptive statistics and non-parametric test to analyze the differences in patients’ awareness,use demand and use intention,then construct structural equation model to verify the validity of theoretical assumptions,and clarify the influencing factors of patients’ intention to use Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services.Results:A total of 489 questionnaires are collected through online electronic questionnaire and offline paper questionnaire.After the quality control of the questionnaire data,446 valid questionnaires are obtained.The overall effective rate of questionnaire recovery is 91.2%.Through statistical analysis of the questionnaire data,the following results are obtained:1.Awareness and usage of Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment servicesThe awareness rate of patients about Internet hospitals was 51.6%,and the awareness rate of diagnosis and treatment services of Internet hospitals was 33.2%,and the utilization rate was 15.5%.2.Demand for Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment servicesThe result shows that patients are concentrated on doctors’ high technical level(38.1%),patient service(26.9%)and diagnosis and treatment code of conduct(22.4%).During the diagnosis and treatment process,they need detailed information reply(42.2%),short waiting time for reception(27.6%)and more times of information inquiry(13.7%),As for service guarantee,they focus on simple system operation(38.8%),protection of personal privacy(27.6%),and support for real-time settlement of medical insurance(15.9%).3.Analysis of patients’ usage intention with different demographic characteristicsThe usage intention of Patients with different gender(Z=-2.807,P=0.005),address(x2=6.751,P=0.034),age(x2=9.853,P=0.043),monthly income(x2=8.240,P=0.041),chronic disease(x2=8.477,P=0.037)show statistical differences(P<0.05),while different educational levels(x2=1.451,P=0.694),medical insurance types(x2=7.465,P=0.188),degree of self-perception(x2=0.045,P=0.978)do not show the statistical differences(P>0.05).4.Analysis of influencing factors of usage intention toward Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment servicesSix theoretical hypotheses are verified by structural equation model.Performance expectation,effort expectation and price value positively affect use intention;Effort expectation and social impact positively affect performance expectation;Individual innovation has a positive impact on effort expectation.The hypothesis of perceived risk and social impact variables on use intention and the hypothesis of e-health literacy on performance expectation failed to pass the test.Conclusions:Internet hospitals are still in the initial stage of development,and the awareness rate and utilization rate are low.Patients make requests of doctors,diagnosis and treatment process,service guarantee in Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment service.Performance expectation,effort expectation,price value,social impact and individual innovation are the key factors affecting use intention.We should pay attention to the differences in the use intention of patients with different gender,address,age,monthly income and chronic diseases,and take measures according to influencing factors to improve patients’ intention to use.Based on the research results,corresponding suggestions are put forward:(1)Strengthen the connection between online and offline services to improve performance expectations;(2)Optimize the system interface and treatment process to reduce the difficulty of service use;(3)Expand the breadth and depth of publicity methods to enhance social influence;(4)Accelerate the process of online medical insurance settlement and reduce the economic burden of patients;(5)Strictly control online medical quality supervision and management to reduce patients’ perceived risk.So as to further optimize the Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services,improve the efficiency and quality of online and offline diagnosis and treatment services,and promote the continuous deepening of the value medical concept.The innovation of this study:(1)Taking Internet hospital which is the emerging carrier of diagnosis and treatment service operation as the research subject.(2)This study explores the usage intention of outpatients towards Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services,which enriches the research in the field of willingness to use Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services.(3)Based on the integrated technology acceptance model and individual characteristic factors,the study builds the usage intention model of outpatients toward Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment services,which can reflect the influencing factors comprehensively.
