PurposeThis study aims to explore the effect of hot ironing therapy of dried ginger and evodia on the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with gastrointestinal anastomosis. It is expected to guide the clinical and reasonable formulation of intervention programs to promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after gastrointestinal anastomosis, shorten the recovery time of gastrointestinal function after surgery, and improve the quality of postoperative rehabilitation of patients.MethodsIn the study, from September 2020 to December 2021,100 patients with gastric cancer who were treated by gastrointestinal anastomosis(all performed by the same group of doctors)in the first ward of the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Henan Provincial People’s Hospital were selected as the research objects.Divided into a control group and an intervention group by a random number table.Patients in the control group were treated with conventional Western medicine intervention methods, and patients in the intervention group were treated with conventional Western medicine intervention methods+dry ginger, evodia hot pressing the abdomen Shenque point and Renmai Jiuwei point to Guanyuan hole. The following indicators were observed for the two groups of patients:Gastrointestinal function recovery time, including postoperative exhaust time, postoperative defecation time, eating time, hospital stay;1d before operation,1d,3d,and 3rd day after operation 5d gastrointestinal function test indicators, including motilin(MTL),gastrin(GAS),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP);Subjective clinical practice of patients 1d before operation,1d,3d,and 5d after operation Performance score, including abdominal pain, bloating, gastrointestinal symptoms;Complication rate.Combined with the observation results, comprehensively evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine hot ironing therapy on the recovery of gastrointestinal function after gastrointestinal anastomosis.Results1.The time of first exhaust, the time of first defecation, the time of first eating, and the total hospital stay in the intervention group were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.There was no significant difference in MTL,GAS,VIP between the two groups on the first day before and after the operation(P>0.05).On the 3rd and 5th day after operation, the MTL and GAS of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group, and the VIP was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the scores of abdominal pain, bloating and gastrointestinal symptoms between the two groups on the first day before operation and the first day after operation(P>0.05).On the 3rd and 5th day after operation, the scores of abdominal pain, bloating, and gastrointestinal symptoms of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The total incidence of complications in the intervention group was 8.16%,which was lower than 27.08%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionStudies have confirmed that hot ironing therapy with traditional Chinese medicine can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing gastrointestinal anastomosis. After the operation, dry ginger, evodia edulis, hot pressing Shenque acupoint and Renmai can shorten the recovery time of gastrointestinal function.Promote the recovery of gastrointestinal hormones, improve the symptoms of gastrointestinal dysfunction, and reduce the occurrence of complications. The effect is significant, which is significantly better than conventional perioperative treatment methods, and has promotion and use value.
