| Objective:Based on the Resource-Gain-Development perspective and International Classification of Functioning(ICF)theoretical framework, this study aimed to know the status of work engagement and influencing factors of young and middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work, explore the mediating effect of family-work enrichment on the relationship between family resilience and work engagement,as well as the moderating effect of cancerrelated fatigue on the relationship of family resilience and work engagement, which could provide a theoretical basis for formulating intervention programs to improve work engagement of young and middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work. Methods:In this cross-sectional study 205 young and middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work were investigated with a convenient sampling method and by using online or offline questionnaire in three third-class A hospitals in Jinan,Shandong Province from November 2021 to December 2022.The sociodemographic questionnaire,Shortened Chinese Version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale(FRAS-C),Work-Family Enrichment Questionnaire(WFEQ),Chinese Version of Cancer Fatigue Scale(CFS-C),and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES)were used to measure the general information, family resilience,family-work enrichment,cancer-related fatigue and work engagement, respectively. The statistical software SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis. The main statistical methods included descriptive analysis,t-test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis, mediating effect analysis and moderating effect analysis.Results:1.The total mean score of work engagement of young and middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work was(53.68±14.40),the mean score of items was(3.58±0.96).The mean score of dimensions of dedication, vigor and absorption were(3.78±1.07),(3.62±0.93),and(3.37±1.09),respectively.2.The univariate analysis results showed that the score of vigor dimension was significantly different in years of working(F=2.932,P<0.05)%daily working hours(F=4.892,P<0.01)、job satisfaction(F=6.986,P=0.001);the score of dedication dimension was significantly different in years of working(F=3.853,P<0.01)、position level(F=3.972,P<0.05)、employment nature(F=-3.936,P<0.05)、work nature(F=4.430,P<0.05)、job satisfaction(F=11.813,P<0.001);the score of absorption dimension was significantly different in years of working(F=4.226,P<0.01)、daily working hours(F=3.254,P<0.05)、job satisfaction(F=4.792,P<0.01);the total score of work engagement was significantly different in years of working(F=4.084,P<0.01)、daily working hours(F=4.026,P<0.05)、job satisfaction(F=8.289,P<0.001).3.The correlation analysis results showed that family resilience and family-work enrichment were significantly positively correlated with work engagement(r=0.266~0.343,all P<0.01),respectively.While cancer-related fatigue was negatively correlated with family resilience(r=-0.250,P<0.01)and work engagement(r=-0.268,P<0.01).4.In the mediating effect analysis,family-work enrichment played a partial mediating role in the relationship between family resilience and work engagement, with an indirect effect value of 0.091,Bootstrap 95%CI[0.035,0.173],accounting for 29.07%of the total effect.5.In the moderating effect analysis,cancer-related fatigue played a negative moderating role in the relationship between family resilience and work engagement, with the moderating effect of-0.092,Bootstrap 95%CI[-0.117,-0.067].Conclusions:1.Young and middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work had the moderate level of work engagement.2.Years of working, position level, employment nature, work nature, daily working hours, job satisfaction significantly affected the work engagement of middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work.3.Family resilience increased the work engagement of middle-aged breast cancer patients who returned to work by positively affecting family-work enrichment;Cancer-related fatigue moderated the effect of family resilience on work engagement, the relationship between family resilience and work engagement varied with the level of cancer-related fatigue. |
