Objective:The previous experiments have proved that the expression of ubiquitin specific protease 7(USP7)in laryngeal carcinoma can regulate the expression of FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog B(FosB gene).Further,this study analyzed the relationship between the expression of FosB in laryngeal cancer and clinicopathological and clinical prognosis of patients.Methods:Firstly,total of 87 tumor tissue sections were selected from target patients and 55 paracancer tissue sections were selected from control group.Immunohistochemical staining(immunohistochemical SP method)was used to detect the expression of FosB in laryngeal cancer and adjacent tissues.Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between clinical and pathological conditions of laryngeal cancer and FosB expression.Furtherly,clinical data and follow-up prognostic data were collected.Log-rank test and Cox regression model were used to analyze the relationship between prognosis and FosB expression in laryngeal cancer.The comparison among groups was regarded as statistically signinficant difference.P<0.05.Results:The expression of FosB in laryngeal carcinoma and paracancer tissues is mainly located in the nucleus.The positive expression rate of FosB protein in laryngeal cancer tissues and adjacent tissues was 73.56%and 27.27%,respectively.The positive expression of FosB in adjacent tissue section was significantly lower than that in laryngeal cancer tissue section,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The positive rate of FOSB in patients with clinical TNM Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅳ stages was 78.79%and 66.67%,separately.The positive rate of FosB expression was 86.53%in the pathologically well-differentiated group and 54.28%moderately poorly differentiated group,separately.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to the log-rank test showed that age,surgical method,clinical stage and positive expression of FosB were correlated with patient prognosis(P<0.05).The Cox regression model analysis revealed that clinical stage and FosB positive expression were correlated with the clinical prognosis of patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression of FosB gene was mainly positive in laryngeal cancer tissues and negative in adjacent tissues.It is related to the pathological classification and clinical stage of patients.The better the pathological differentiation of patients and the earlier the clinical TNM stage,the higher the positive expression rate of FosB gene.Fosb-positive laryngeal cancer patients have favourable clinical prognosis,suggesting that it has the potential to be a marker for early diagnosis and prognosis of laryngeal cancer,and may play a positive role in future targeted therapy.
