Anatomical Determination Of Mandibular Implant Site On BAMA Mini-pig

Objective The mandibular teeth I1,P3,P4 and M1 of Bama mini pigs were observed and the corresponding mandibular anatomical morphology was statistically analyzed,and the anatomical data of buccal tongue diameter,proximal distal median diameter and root length at I1,P3,P4 and M1 sites of Bama mini pigs were measured on the MSCT and the gross model,so as to provide reference for the determination of the mandibular implantation model site and the selection of implants.Guide the safe implantation of implants.Methods Six 15-month-old male Bama mini-pigs were taken MSCT to measure the proximal and distal median diameter,buccolingual diameter and root length of the mandibular M1,and the mandibular I1 and M1 were removed,and the relevant gross anatomical data were measured.After 3 months,MSCT was taken again to measure the proximal and distal median diameter,buccolingual diameter and root length of P3 and P4,and the proximal and distal median diameter,buccolingual diameter and root length of M1,and the distance between the buccolingual diameter and the canal crest.Mandible specimens were made,and the relevant gross anatomical data were measured for statistical analysis,The MSCT data were imported into the dental implant design software to determine the implant position and select the model.Results Before extraction at the mandibular M1 site,the proximal and distal median diameter(13.60±0.93)mm,buccolingual diameter(9.94 ± 1.44)mm,and root length(14.94±0.59)mm were measured by MSCT;The proximal and distal median diameter(12.75±1.23)mm,buccolingual diameter(8.82±0.97)mm,and root length(17.72±2.34)mm in the gross measurement group.After tooth extraction,in the MSCT measurement group,the proximal and distal median diameter was(12.45±1.21)mm,the buccolingual diameter was(7.29±1.05)mm,and the distance from the top of the alveolar ridge to the mandibular nerve canal was(12.03±1.59)mm;In the gross measurement group,the proximal and distal median diameter was(9.32±1.23)mm,the buccolingual diameter was(6.63±1.14)mm,and the distance from the top of the alveolar ridge to the mandibular nerve canal was(11.72 ±1.48)mm.The proximal and distal median diameter(5.00±0.06)mm,buccolingual diameter(3.58±0.20)mm,and root length(33.38±4.56)mm in the I1 gross measurement group.The proximal and distal median diameter(11.02±1.14)mm and buccolingual diameter(6.35±0.85)mm were measured by MSCT at the mandibular P3 site;The proximal and distal median diameter(11.05±0.77)mm,buccolingual diameter(6.23 ± 0.72)mm,and root length(11.22±0.80)mm in the gross measurement group.The proximal and distal median diameter(11.13±0.82)mm and buccolingual diameter(6.96±0.52)mm were obtained in the mandibular P4 site MSCT measurement group;The proximal and distal median diameter(11.15±0.47)mm,buccolingual diameter(6.96±0.24)mm,and root length(11.70±1.72)mm in the gross measurement group.There were significant differences in proximal distal diameter,buccal lingual diameter and root length measured by MSCT before mandibular M1 site extraction compared with the gross measurement group(P<0.05).Compared with the gross measurement,there were statistically significant differences in the proximal distal diameter measured by MSCT after tooth extraction(P<0.05),but there were no statistically significant differences in the buccal lingual diameter and the distance between alveolar crest and mandibular neural tube measured by MSCT(P>0.05).Compared with the gross measurement group,there were no significant differences in proximal distal diameter and buccal lingual diameter measured by MSCT at P3 and P4 sites(P>0.05).MSCT can be applied to Bama mini-pig planting experiment.Implants with a diameter range of 3.3~4.8mm and a length range of 6~8mm are recommended for mandibular M1 sites,and implants with a diameter range of 3.3~4.1mm and a length range of 6~10mm are recommended for mandibular P3 and P4 sites.Conclusion 1.Before ordering Bama mini-pigs,the tooth eruption status should be determined in advance to avoid unnecessary losses.2.Taking MSCT before tooth extraction can accurately observe the anatomical relationship of the oral and maxillofacial system of Bama mini-pigs and make full preoperative preparations;Taking MSCT of miniature pigs 3 months after tooth extraction can predict the alveolar bone remodeling of Bama mini-pigs after tooth extraction in advance,and prepare the implants.3.The mandibular M1 site of 15 months old Bama mini-pig is an ideal model site for delayed implantation.4.The mandibular I1 site of 15 months old Bama mini-pig is not suitable for immediate implantation model site.5.P3 and P4 sites in the mandible of 19 months old Bama mini-pig are ideal sites for immediate implantation model.6.The mandibular M1 site of 15 months old Bama mini-pig is recommended to implant an implant with a diameter range of 3.3~4.8mm and a length range of 6~8mm;19 months old Bama mini-pig P3 and P4 sites are recommended to implant implants with a diameter range of 3.3~4.1 mm and a length range of 6~10 mm.
