| Objective To discover the value elements with typical characteristics of TCM culture in Zhejiang ancient villages, construct a library of elements, empirically sort out and elaborate their value transformation patterns.Based on the quantitative data of the eight value elements of the research object,a spatial and temporal matrix of Chinese medicine culture values of Zhejiang ancient villages is formed. It provides new ideas to explore the theories and methods of Chinese medicine cultural values in ancient villages from an interdisciplinary perspective so as to make up for the lack of interdisciplinary research methods of Chinese medicine cultural value elements. To enhance the cognitive ability and local cultural influence of TCM culture in Zhejiang ancient villages in order to simultaneously promote TCM cultural inheritance and innovation. Methods 1.Literature analysis was used based on the core set of platforms such as China Knowledge Network,Wanfang and Weipu databases, academic Baidu,Zhejiang Library Information Platform,Duxiu database,National Research Network and Web of Science for manual collection and literature examination, screening out the research object, establishing a relevant theoretical library and empirically elaborating the elements of Chinese medicine cultural value in Zhejiang ancient villages.2.Field research method was used for the ancient villages with typical TCM cultural characteristics. The author selectively visited the villages by surveys,on-site inquiries and interviews, recording and filming of information in line with the specific characteristics of TCM culture.3.Interdisciplinary method(TCM culture and geography)was used based on network geographic big data collection and literature examination to establish a geographic information database of ancient villages in Zhejiang Province,to determine the names of each ancient village, geographic location and information of historical geographic features related to TCM culture.Exploratory spatial analysis(ESDA)was used to demonstrate the quantitative spatial pattern of TCM cultural values and the spatial density distribution of features in Zhejiang ancient villages. Results 1.This study explores the fragmented status of the research interests of TCM culture in Zhejiang ancient villages, and sorts out the types, characteristics and value elements of TCM culture in Zhejiang ancient villages. The value elements are belief value, life value, ecologicalvalue, health value, historical value, aesthetic value, scientific and technological value and tourism value and the results help to understand the overall situation of Chinese medicine culture in Zhejiang ancient villages so as to make up for the fragmented points of interest.2.701 villages in Zhejiang were listed in the six batches of Chinese traditional villages announced by the Ministry of Housing and Construction, involving villages below the municipal level in Hangzhou,Jiaxing,Zhoushan,Huzhou,Shaoxing,Ningbo,Wenzhou,Quzhou,Taizhou,Jinhua and Lishui.Based on the network literature method and field research method to obtain information on the cultural characteristics of Chinese medicine in Zhejiang ancient villages, the author screened and collected 222 ancient villages related semantic information from 701 ancient villages to form a value score(0-5 points level).Through the nuclear density estimation method, the distribution of Chinese medicine cultural characteristics of ancient villages in Zhejiang shows certain regional differences. The areas with higher density are mainly distributed in Lishui area, which indicates that the development of Chinese medicine culture in this area is good with a large number and rich characteristics. This is followed by the Jinhua region and again by Fenghua, southeastern Tonglu and Pujiang County, the junction of Fuyang,Pan’an County and Tiantai County,Xinchang County,Shengzhou City, and Dongyang City.It can be seen that except Lishui, which is located in the southwest of Zhejiang Province, other higher-density areas are mainly distributed in the central and eastern part of Zhejiang. This study suggests that TCM culture should be well protected either in the low-density areas or the one with high density from the policy perspective.First, the core areas with high density should drive the non-core areas with low density to expand the diffusion and integration.Second,to establish links and channels between regions and strengthen the cultural and economic interchange between villages and towns.Third, expand publicity and dig deeper into rural TCM culture and promote its revitalization. From the perspective of individual TCM cultural value elements, the density distribution maps of faith value, life value, ecological value, health value, historical value, aesthetic value, scientific and technological value and tourism value are roughly consistent with the distribution of the number of ancient villages, but each value distribution map has its own density characteristics, which are slightly different from each other.8 value element maps have high-density areas mainly in Songyang County,Lishui City. The secondary high-density areas are distributed in the Jinhua region, representing the values of faith, ecology, aesthetics, science and technology and tourism respectively.118 of the 701 traditional villages in Zhejiang were listed in the Jinhua region, and 28 ancient villages in the Jinhua region were screened in this study. The most representative one with the characteristics of Chinese medicine culture in Jinhua region is Zhuge Bagua Village in Lanxi, which has driven the development of medicine culture in its surrounding townships.Another geographical area with outstanding scientific and technological value is the Ningbo region, where a considerable number of famous doctors emerged in history, thus showing in the figure that the scientific and technological value of the region is denser and slightly darker than the other values of the region. In addition, figure c representing ecological value, figure e representing aesthetic value and figure h representing tourism value show similarity in the upper right part of the distribution map, which is the Pan’an region of Jinhua and the Fenghua region of Ningbo, indicating that the region has a good natural and ecological environment, which is suitable for the development of TCM health service mode.Figures b,d and f,which represent life value, health value and historical value, show weakness in general,so it is necessary to make more efforts to explore the typical features of TCM culture and expand the publicity in order to improve the weakness of related values in the region. Conclusion In the new era of rural revitalization and revival of TCM culture,it is of great academic value and practical significance to deeply explore the traditional medicine culture of ancient villages.First, this study empirically composes the types, characteristics and value elements of Chinese medicine culture in ancient villages in Zhejiang.Second, based on the quantitative data of the eight value elements of the research object, this study constructs a spatio-temporal matrix of the value elements of Chinese medicine culture in ancient villages in Zhejiang, which provides a new research idea.By obtaining the visualization of the spatial aggregation and distribution of each TCM cultural attribute in ancient villages, this study explores the theoretical and innovative research methods of TCM cultural value elements in ancient villages from the interdisciplinary perspective of TCM culture and information geography, thus bridging the lack of interdisciplinary research methods of TCM cultural value elements in Zhejiang ancient villages. The geospatial analysis means can make a kind of figurative and quantitative presentation of the abstract cultural elements, which has a high application value for people to understand the regional cultural evolution so as to improve the cognitive ability and local cultural influence of TCM culture in Zhejiang ancient villages, thus promoting TCM cultural inheritance and innovation simultaneously. |
