Objective:1.To design and develop a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)data mining system that implements a variety of data mining algorithms.2.To apply the system to analyze the medication rule of Professor Wen Chengping in the treatment of patients with active rheumatoid arthritis.Methods:1.Design the architecture and usage flow of the TCM data mining system.2.Implement the front-end module of the TCM data mining system using front-end technologies such as Vue.js and JavaScript.3.Implement the back-end module of the TCM data mining system using back-end technologies such as Python language and Flask framework.4.Use the TCM data mining system to analyze the medication rule of Professor Wen Chengping in the treatment of 366 cases of patients with active rheumatoid arthritis,to verify the capability of the TCM data mining system.Results:1.Based on the BS(Browser/Server)architecture,a scalable TCM data mining system with a graphical interface and in line with TCM data mining habits is developed,covering a variety of data mining algorithms such as association rules,Bron-Kerbosch maximal clique,clustering analysis,decision tree analysis.2.The system was used to analyze the medication rule of Professor Wen Chengping in the treatment of 366 cases of patients with active rheumatoid arthritis by four data mining algorithms:Apriori association rules,Bron-Kerbosch maximal clique,Clustering analysis and Decision Tree analysis,got the core symptoms of active rheumatoid arthritis and Professor Wen Chengping’s basic prescription for the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis,as well as several rules for the use of medication with the addition or subtraction of symptoms.The results of the analysis reflect that Professor Wen Chengping focuses on detoxification and collateral relief,and by the same time pay attention to strengthen the spleen,remove dampness,protecting the spleen and stomach.Conclusion:This study successfully implemented a TCM data mining system that provides four data mining algorithms:Apriori association rules,Bron-Kerbosch maximal clique,Clustering analysis and Decision Tree analysis,of which the Bron-Kerbosch maximal clique mining algorithm is the first open source implementation in TCM data mining area.By using the system to mine and analyze the medication rule of Professor Wen Chengping’s treatment for active rheumatoid arthritis,it was shown that the system is simple and easy to use,helping to lower the threshold of TCM data mining and providing a free and easy-to-use new option for TCM data mining.
