Introduction:Management of diabetic wounds in hyperglycemic patients remains clinically challenging.Diabetic wounds have been challenged by excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and bacterial contamination.Facing this great challenge,research on antibacterial dressings has been extensively and intensively studied.Fibrous materials composed of nanofibers and microfibers have attracted the interest of wound dressing researchers because of their small pore size and high porosity,which is beneficial to wound ventilation and drainage of exudate and can resist the secondary invasion of exogenous bacteria.However,conventional nanofiber dressings cannot continuously remove ROS and kill bacteria,which is not conducive to wound healing.Therefore,it is of great scientific and clinical significance to design a dressing that can control the local ROS level and remove local bacteria from the wound.Objectives:Based on PVA(polyvinyl alcohol)-CS(chitosan)polymer,the nanofiber dressing is constructed by carrying CeNPs(ceria)and MP(mupirocin):PVA-CS-CeNPs-MP nanofiber dressing,to achieve long-term Effective antibacterial and scavenging ROS.Material and Methods:PVA(polyvinyl alcohol),CS(chitosan),CeNPs(ceria),MP(mupirocin)were mixed to prepare a solution.The mixed solution was electrospun by the emulsion electrospinning method to make a nanofibrous membrane.Bactericidal activity and ROS scavenging ability were tested in vivo and in vitro.Effects of test materials on the morphology and proliferation of mouse epithelioid fibroblasts.Results:This experiment successfully constructed a PVA(polyvinyl alcohol)-CS(chitosan)-CeNPs(ceria)-MP(mupirocin)nanofiber dressing,which can effectively carry and release the antibiotic mupirocin for a long time And ROS scavenger cerium oxide,which has long-term anti-infection function and good biocompatibility,and can effectively scavenge ROS.Conclusions:Our study successfully fabricated the coating of on the Ti alloy.The programmable antibiotic delivery and immune reconstitution can help the titanium implant effectively resist bacteria and repair the local immune system of the bone in the early period of recovery.
