| According to the results of the 7th National Population Census in 2021,the proportion of people over 60 years old in China has reached 18.7%,among which the proportion of people over 60 years old in the three northeast provinces of China has exceeded 20%,indicating that China is about to enter a deeply aging society.In the context of the rapid increase of the size and proportion of the elderly population,the ethical issues encountered by the elderly in the process of seeking medical advice have become increasingly prominent and aroused widespread concern in society.From a physiological perspective,there are significant differences between elderly patients and patients of other ages.Elderly patients tend to have more complex conditions and longer course of disease,and their medical needs are more frequent than patients of other ages.From a psychological perspective,the elderly have a certain degree of anxiety about their own illness,aging and death.From a social perspective,China currently is not fully prepared to deal with the deeply aging society;there is a big gap between the allocation of medical resources,targeted medical services and the construction of professional medical teams and the medical needs of the deeply aging society.The above three factors influence each other,which makes it easier for the elderly to generate various ethical issues when seeking medical advice.This paper aims to systematically analyze and attribute the ethical issues of the elderly seeing medical advice through empirical research,try to establish the basic ethical principles that should be followed to solve problems,and put forward targeted opinions and suggestions based on these principles.Under the historical background of aging society,this research is of important practice guidance significance for establishing a good doctor-patient relationship,rationally allocating medical and health resources,improving the attention of medical staff to elderly patients,and fundamentally solving the problem of difficult in seeing medical advice for the elderly.In addition,this paper also further expands the research ideas in the fields related to the aging of population and the elderly seeking medical advice at the theoretical level.This paper consist of five parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly introducing the cause of topic selection,research background,purpose and significance,and organizing and analyzing the existing studies at home and abroad.In the second part,the concepts and characteristics related to the aging of population and the elderly were explained,the characteristics of the elderly seeking medical advice were introduced,and the influence of the aging of population on modern medical care was analyzed.In the third part,the questionnaire method was used to investigate the ethical issues caused by the elderly seeking medical advice,and the reasons for such ethical issues were analyzed.In the fourth part,the ethical principles and corresponding solutions to solve the ethical issues caused by the elderly seeking medical advice were introduced.The fifth part is the conclusion,summarizing the main conclusions of this paper and pointing out the shortcomings of the research and future research directions. |
