Exploring The Pattern Of Medication Prescribed By Professor Xu Yunsheng For Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis Based On Data Mining Techniques

Objective:Data mining technology is used to mine Professor Xu Yunsheng’s medication patterns and core prescriptions for the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis,and to summarise Professor Xu’s academic thinking and clinical experience in the use of medication.Methods:By collecting outpatient medical records of Professor Xu Yunsheng from January 2017 to November 2022 at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,125 valid medical records were screened according to the nadir criteria,the original data were entered using the Fang Net platform and Excel 2010 software,the prescription data were standardized,and the frequency,nature and taste,drug importance,drug association,and drug symptoms of the prescribed drugs were Statistical analysis and data mining were conducted on the patterns of use of prescribed drugs.Results:1.A total of 80 symptoms were involved,with 13 symptoms occurring more than 10 times.A total of 18 types of tongue signs were involved,with 6 types of tongue signs appearing more than 12 times.A total of 6 types of pulse were involved,with 3 types of pulse occurring more frequently than 10 times.A total of 4 types of comorbidities were involved,of which a total of 3 comorbidities occurred more than 5 times.2.A total of 183 herbal medicines were involved,with 42 appearing more than 20 times,and 4 being used more than 90% of the time,namely Bai Shao,Fu Ling,Qi Shao and Chai Hu.The four qi of Chinese medicine are mainly cold,calm and warm,the five tastes of Chinese medicine are mainly bitter,sweet and pungent,and the meridians of Chinese medicine are mainly liver,spleen and lung meridians.3.A total of 34 herbs were classified as core drugs,among which those with topological scores greater than 20 were Bai Shao,Fu Ling,Qi Shao,Chai Hu,Peony Bark,Xiang Xiang Shen,Xia Ku Cao and Chen Pi.4.A total of 32 groups of synergistic drug combinations were obtained,namely,keel-bone-oyster,maidenhair-schisandra,white peony-red peony,chestnut-red peony,curcumae-tragacanth,white peony-chestnut,etc.A total of 12 groups of mutually exclusive drug combinations were obtained,namely,white lentil-red peony,white lentil-chai hu,peony bark-cistanche,longan flesh-peony bark,etc.5.A total of 20 groups of drug-symptom correlative combinations were obtained,namely,excessive sweating-roasted licorice,dizziness-Chuanxiong,impatience and irritability-Gardenia,etc.There were 5 groups of highly targeted drug-symptom correlation combinations,namely burning sensation in the stomach-Gypsum,burning sensation in the stomach-Wu Zhu Zhu,excessive eating-Ligustrum,acne-Zingiber officinale,painful urination-Qomai.A total of 9 groups of tongue and pulse correlation combinations with drugs were asked for yellowish moss-Qing Han Xia,dark red tongue-Bai Shao,thin pulse-Gardenia,etc.A total of 14 groups of comorbidities were associated with drugs,namely,thyroid nodules-Xia Ku Cao,thyroid nodules-Zhe Bei Mu,hypothyroidism-Du Zhong,etc.6.A total of 10 groups of new drug combinations(C1 to C10)were obtained by cluster analysis,namely C1: Chai Hu,Bai Shao,Bai Shao,Fu Ling,Mudan Pi;C2: Xiang Shen,Bai Zhu,Chen Pi,Dang Ginseng,Qing Han Xia;C3: Scutellaria,Huang Lian,Curcuma longa,Sour Date Seed,Coix Seed;C4: Gardenia,Chuan Niu Knee,Sheng Di Huang;C5: Chuan Xiong,Roasted Licorice;C6: Hong Hua,Tao Ren,Gui Zhi,Angelica Sinensis,Dan Shen C7: Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata,Fructus Yimou,Cornus Officinalis,Zedoary,Glycyrrhiza glabra;C8: Yam,Fructus Lycii,Chrysanthemum;C9: Dragon Bone,Oyster,Schisandra,Medlar,Astragalus;C10: Xia Ku Cao,Zhe Bei Mu,Xuan Shen.Conclusion:Professor Xu Yunsheng believes that the basic pathogenesis of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is liver stagnation and fire,with Qi stagnation,blood stasis and phlegm coagulation in the front of the neck,and with prolonged illness,deficiency of the spleen and stomach,deficiency of Qi and Yin,deficiency of the liver and kidney,and deficiency of Yang in the spleen and kidney.He proposes the method of turning stones from water to stone to treat stubborn phlegm,and is good at using the right medicine to treat concurrent symptoms.
