Clinical Observation On Auricular Point Pressing Pill Assisted Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction In The Treatment Of Chronic Tension-Type Headache With Phlegm Turbidity

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of auricular point pressing pill assisted with Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction in treating chronic tension-type headache with phlegm,and evaluate its effectiveness,so as to provide clinical basis for treating chronic tension-type headache with internal and external therapy and enrich the treatment scheme of chronic tension-type headache.Methods: 120 chronic tension headache patients with turbid phlegm were separated into 3 groups randomly: 40 cases in the group of traditional Chinese medicine plus auricular points were treated with auricular point pressing pills assisted with Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction and eperisone hydrochloride tablets,40 cases in the group of Chinese medicine were treated with Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction and eperisone hydrochloride tablets,and 40 cases in the group of western medicine were treated with eperisone hydrochloride tablets for 30 days.Observe the changes of headache index score,TCM syndrome mark and concomitant syndrome mark between the three groups respectively prior to and after therapy,and appraise the therapeutic effect of the three groups.Results:1.During the treatment,3 cases were excluded,and finally 39 cases in each of the three groups completed the study.There was no statistical difference(P>0.05)in the general data of the three groups,which was comparable.2.Headache index score: Compared with before treatment,the indexes of headache in the three groups reduced(P<0.05).Post treatment,the headache index score of the Chinese medicine plus auricular points group was decreased compared with the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group(P<0.05),and the Chinese medicine group was decreased compared with the western medicine group(P<0.05).As for the efficacy of headache,the general curative ratio was 89.74% in the traditional Chinese medicine plus auricular point group,82.05% in the traditional Chinese medicine group and 74.36% in the western medicine group.The Chinese medicine plus auricular point group is superior to the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group(P<0.05),and the Chinese medicine group is superior to the western medicine group(P<0.05).3.TCM syndrome integral: After treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in the three groups were remarkably decreased compared with those prior to therapy(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome score of the Chinese medicine plus auricular points group was significantly lower than that of the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group(P<0.05),and that of the Chinese medicine group was substantially decreased than that of the western medicine group(P<0.05).In terms of the curative effect of TCM syndromes,the total efficient rate was 92.31%in TCM plus auricular points therapy group,84.62% in TCM therapy group and 71.79% in western medicine therapy group.The Chinese medicine plus auricular point therapy is superior to the Chinese medicine and western medicine(P<0.05),and the Chinese medicine is superior to the western medicine(P<0.05).4.Accompanying symptom score: Compared with before treatment,the grades of anxiety and insomnia in the three groups were remarkably decreased(P<0.05).Following therapy,the marks of anxiety and insomnia in the Chinese medicine plus auricular point group were lower than those in the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group(P<0.05),and the Chinese medicine group was remarkably lower than that in the western medicine group(P<0.05).5.Safety: No apparent adverse reactions were detected throughout the therapeutic period.Conclusion: Ear-acupoint pressing pill assisted with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction is helpful to better improve the headache degree,accompanying symptoms and TCM syndromes of patients with phlegm-turbid chronic tension headache,and it is safe,which embodies the great advantages of internal and external treatment and is worthy of clinical promotion.
