ObjectiveBy measuring and analyzing the transverse characteristics of the dental arch, base bone arch and first molar in patients with different sagittal bone surface types with different mean angles in adults, the relationship between each index and the sagittal bone surface type was explored, and the differences between different genders were analyzed.Measurements were compared with individual patients with normal jaws.In order to establish detailed normative data for the population with homoangular skeletal face type, and provide a reference for the diagnosis and clinical treatment of malocclusion.MethodsSelect adult patients with average angular angle who came to Shen Yang Stomatology Hospital from September 2020 to September 2022 according to the Wits value [Skeletal type Ⅰ: male(-3.6mm<Wits<2mm),female(-3.6mm<Wits<0.6mm);Skeletal type Ⅱ: male(Wits>2mm),female(Wits>0.6mm);Skeletal type Ⅲ: male(Wits<-3.6mm)female(Wits<-3.6mm)】divided into different sagittal skeletal surface groups,There were 30 cases in each group, and 30 cases in each group were selected as the control group, and 15 cases in each group were divided according to the average male and female.Through the measurement and analysis of the CBCT taken at the first visit of the patient, including the width of the upper and lower anterior, middle and posterior dental arches and base bone arches, the thickness of the buccal and lingual alveolar bone of the upper and lower first molars,a total of 6 dental indicators,10 Item bone index.Import the data into Microsoft Office table software for sorting, input the sorted data into SPSS20.0 software, calculate the mean value and standard deviation of the measurement data of each group, use one-way analysis of variance to calculate the difference between the data of each group, and analyze the differences between men and women in each group Independent sample t-test was performed separately.Results1.The width of the middle maxillary dental arch, the width of the anterior maxillary dental arch, the width of the mandibular anterior base bone arch, the width of the middle mandibular base bone arch, and the mandibular posterior base bone arch There were significant differences in width, buccal alveolar bone thickness of maxillary first molars, and buccal alveolar bone thickness of mandibular first molars(P<0.05).The skeletal class Ⅲ patients were larger than other groups in the width of the maxillary anterior and middle dental arches and the mandibular anterior, middle and posterior basal arches(P<0.05).The buccal alveolar bone thickness of maxillary and mandibular first molars in patients with skeletal type Ⅲ was smaller than that of other groups(P<0.05).2.The measurement data of all samples show that the width of male dental arch and base bone arch is generally larger than that of female in the anterior, middle, and posterior segments of the upper and lower jaws.3.The width of the maxillary posterior dental arch, the maxillary anterior dental arch width, the mandibular posterior dental arch width, the maxillary posterior basal arch width, the maxillary middle basal arch width, the maxillary anterior basal arch width,The alveolar bone thickness of the buccal side of the maxillary first molar and the thickness of the palatal alveolar bone of the maxillary first molar were greater than those of women(P<0.05).4.For men with skeletal type Ⅱ,the width of the mid maxillary dental arch, the width of the maxillary anterior dental arch, the width of the maxillary posterior basilar arch, the width of the maxillary middle basilar arch, the width of the maxillary anterior basilar arch, the width of the The palatal alveolar bone thickness of the first molars was greater than that of females(P<0.05).5.Men with skeletal class Ⅲ were larger than women in the width of maxillary posterior dental arch, mandibular posterior dental arch, maxillary posterior base bone arch, mandibular posterior base bone arch, and mandibular anterior base bone arch(P<0.05).6.The width of the posterior mandibular dental arch, the width of the maxillary posterior base bone arch, the maxillary anterior base bone arch width, the mandibular posterior base bone arch width, and the thickness of the buccal alveolar bone of the maxillary first molar in individual normal patients are larger than those of women(P<0.05).Conclusion1.In patients with different sagittal bone face types and individual normal jaw angles, the dental arch and basal arch of males are generally wider than those of females.2.The dental arch width of skeletal class Ⅲ patients in the front and middle of the maxilla is larger than that of skeletal class Ⅰ,Ⅱ and some normal patients.Clinically, attention should be paid to the matching of the upper and lower dental arches.3.Compared with patients with skeletal class Ⅰ,Ⅱ and some normal patients, patients with skeletal class Ⅲ have a wider mandibular base bone, suggesting that there may be excessive development of the mandible, and patients with skeletal class Ⅲshould pay attention to the sagittal shape in the early stage. At the same time pay attention to its horizontal development,in order to achieve a stable clinical treatment effect.4.The buccal alveolar bone thickness of the maxillary and mandibular first molars in patients with skeletal class Ⅲ was significantly smaller than that of patients with skeletal class I,class Ⅱ and some normal patients. The alveolar bone around the teeth will compensate for the difference in the base bone, and the buccolingual movement should be carefully designed for patients with skeletal class Ⅲ.
