Objective: Inclusion of patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)who received different Western medicine treatments without driver genes, retrospective observation of the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine in practical clinical applications, analysis of the impact of various intervention factors on survival prognosis, and providing real-world research evidence for the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine in this disease. Methods: Select 340 patients with stage IV driver gene negative NSCLC who were treated in the Oncology Department of Liuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2014 to December 2021.Collect information on the general treatment status and overall survival(OS)of the patients, and use traditional Chinese medicine treatment as the screening condition for exposure factors.Divide them into a treatment group(coordinated treatment with Chinese and Western medicine)and a control group(treatment with Western medicine).Use the K-M method to conduct a univariate analysis of the collected data,The differences were tested by Log rank, and then significant factors with P<0.05 were substituted for Cox analysis and subgroup analysis.Results:1.A total of 340 newly diagnosed patients were included. As of the data statistics deadline(December 31,2022),20 patients were still alive. The median OS in the treatment group was 17.0m(95% CI: 14.9-19.1m),while in the control group it was 13.0m(95% CI: 11.7-14.3m).The age distribution of the study population is between 32 and 88 years old, with 191 males(56.2%)and 149 females(43.8%),with an average age of 59.06 ± 12.4 years and a median age of 60 years;185 smokers(54.4%).2.The results of K-M univariate analysis showed that gender, age, smoking history, treatment mode, pathological type,PS score,CEA,Hb,ALB,and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types were correlated with patient survival time(P<0.05);3.COX multivariate regression analysis showed that only age<60 years old [HR=0.63(95% CI: 0.43-0.93),P=0.021],female [HR=0.62(95% CI:0.44-0.88),P=0.007],PS score 0-1 [HR=0.62(95% CI: 0.46-0.84),P=0.002],radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the treatment mode [HR=0.54(95% CI:0.41-0.72),P<0.001],and combination targeted therapy [HR=0.30(95% CI:0.12-0.77),P=0.012] were considered to be survival. The independent influencing factors of time. Conclusion(s): The results of this study show that regardless of gender, age, smoking history, treatment mode, pathological type,PS score,CEA,Hb,ALB,and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome type, traditional Chinese medicine treatment as an intervention can improve the median OS of stage IV NSCLC without driver genes,and<60 years old,female,PS=0-1 points, traditional Chinese medicine treatment is an independent protective factor affecting patient prognosis,Confirmed that traditional Chinese medicine can achieve a synergistic effect in the treatment of stage IV driving gene negative NSCLC.
