| Background:Bone marrow concentrate(BMC)which is harvested by centrifugation and concentration of the bone marrow aspiration combined with β-tricalcium phosphate(β-TCP)granules shows ideal result compared with autologous iliac crest bone graft(ICBG)in repairing alveolar bone defect without causing donor-site morbidities or resource limitation.Our study is aimed to investigate the satisfaction and quality of life after the treatment by BMC and traditional ICBG,analyze their potential correlation and the difference between two materials.Methods:Fifty-two patients who underwent alveolar cleft repair at the Cleft Lip and Palate Center of Plastic Surgery Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from 2019 to 2022 were investigated using a self-developed questionnaire to measure postoperative satisfaction and quality of life.SPSS and AMOS software were used for reliability and validity test to determine the final structure of the scale,then the descriptive analysis,correlation analysis and difference analysis were conducted on the questionnaire data.Results:The final version of the questionnaire includes four parts:basic information,current quality of life scale--alveolar ridge repair,current quality of life scale--iliac bone recovery,and postoperative satisfaction scale,with a total of 20 questions.In this study,the mean values of alveolar ridge repair related quality of life of patients in urban and rural areas were 3.86 and 3.45 respectively,and the mean values of social psychological satisfaction were 3.88 and 2.91 respectively.The mean values of iliac bone recovery quality of patients after BMC combined with β-TCP granules repair and ICBG were 4.67 and 3.06,and the mean values of overall satisfaction were 4.31 and 3.79 respectively.Conclusion:In this study,the quality of life and satisfaction of patients after alveolar cleft repair were good,and they are positively correlated.The quality of life in alveolar ridge recovery and psychosocial satisfaction were affected by the region where patients lived.Patients repaired by BMC combined with β-TCP had significantly better iliac recovery quality,iliac donor site satisfaction,and overall satisfaction than patients with ICBG. |
